Like lots of Ōtautahi hotels, Sudima is brand spanking new- so fresh, smart and contemporary. Our east facing room was quiet and spacious. The bed was big and comfy. Good powerful shower and multi use products in bathroom. Tick Kitchenette is a bonus, but you need to ask for pots, utensils and plates. In room recycling also gets a tick! Sudima is a wee stroll away from the river, te pae and restaurants and bars, but it’s next door to the casino! Check in staff were a little over zealous but harmless enough. Would recommend

A lovely hotel - about 10 mins walk into central Christchurch but it is flat to walk. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had all we needed - there are cooking facilities in the room if you want it

The loveliest - particular thanks to Sam - front desk staff (and efficient too). Excellent location, only a short walk to the centre, and very pleasant if you go through the park. There is also a bus stop directly outside; it will take you to the centre, or go to the bus station and take a trip to Sumner or Lyttleton - both worth a visit. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds comfortable. For some reason though, complimentary water and crisps only appeared on our first day! Useful to have a guest laundry, but be warned there is only one machine for all floors... The kitchen area is fine, but not for those who want to cook up a storm - you need to ask for pots and pans. Not a problem for us as we preferred to eat out (try Rangoon Ruby nearby, good, if somewhat 'neutralized' flavours, as the waitress herself put it!) . Overall a really pleasant stay in a very interesting city. …

Very happy with our room. Comfortable beds, great food in the restaurant . Staff very keen to help with any queries. Would highly recommend. Nice quite rooms. Walking distance to Casino and restaurants. Limited bench space in bathroom for toiletries.

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Sudima. The room was comfortable with good quality bed and linens. It included a kitchenette, as is the NZ way. We used the valet parking, which was very useful although there is also a small self-park car park. As others have said, it’s a short and pleasant walk to the city centre and a range of bars, restaurants and attractions. We loved botanical garden which was stunning. We returned to the hotel about 9.30pm hoping to have a drink in the bar. We did get a drink but they were closing and clearing up around us, so it wasn’t very relaxing. We assumed due to ongoing staff shortages, but it would have been helpful to know about the early closing time. All staff we met were very helpful and professional.

Nice new hotel. Stayed in an apartment and was nice an spacious. Had an issue getting the dishwasher to work but that may have been a user issue! Staff were friendly and efficient. Didn’t eat there. Everything was clean and tidy. Location is a bit out of central city but still walking distance.

Very disappointment experience. The room next to ours were very noisy, we complained at reception but no constructive action was taken. This happened two night in a row! We asked to be moved but told other rooms available! Would not stay here again! No refund offered!

Thanks Sudima for being our first stop in NZ - Great stay, friendly staff with easy check in, valet parking and a clean room - what else could you ask for! Close to Riverside market, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic….I’d definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Sudima Christchurch for four nights. Stay at Sudima Christchurch was fantastic. Staff was Nice and polite and good service. Room is very comfortable. I will be back for sure and recommend to my friends.
