The facility is new and relatively clean. However, upon arrival, I found hair on the fresh bed that I haven't used. There's no drinking water provided. As I arrived full of stuff, and very thirsty, I had to walk across the block to buy some water. The kitchen was smelly so I didn't want to sit in it. The front door has a large gap that I could hear people from the outside talking.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the cafe was delicious with friendly and prompt service. 5 minute walk into town. Only issue we had was that there was nowhere to put toilet bags in the bathroom.
Good location- excellent beds and rooms. Evening check in was easy. Only point I would change is not having different lifts for some occupants. I would stay there again as it was good for a couple of nights - ideal if staying for a week.
Very clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel with an excellent location in Christchurch. Fast and clean elevators to our room. Comfortable bed with nice linens. Great shower. Especially loved that the bathroom had a washer and dryer!! Everything worked in the room as well, like the refrig, all the lights/outlets, etc. I would have rated the hotel experience as a 5 except for the car parking issue. We checked in around 5 PM and by that time, all the parking spaces in the limited lot that the hotel provides for were taken/occupied. We luckily had found a parking spot out on the street that was almost right in front of the hotel and the parking was free until 9 AM the morning of our check out. So, all in all, the parking issue worked itself out! You can always grab a spot for your car in the lot by moving it the next AM.…
Modern, clean property in a convenient location close to amenities. We enjoyed the shop/cafe onsite that also served alcoholic beverages. Parking was an extra $20/day but definitely recommended. Would definitely stay again!
Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Great location close to city. Cafe staff were friendly and breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again when we return to Christchurch.
We have started our NZ holiday from here twice now. The hotel is close enough to walk into town but away from the city centre. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Perfectly situated for us, as tourists with only 24 hours in Christchurch. From this hotel we could easily walk to the Riverside area where we had both lunch and breakfast from the ‘hawker style’ boutique eateries. A wet afternoon so we wandered around the art gallery. The following day we walked around the Botanic Gardens (great), again, following the river. The hotel is clean with friendly and helpful staff. Good wifi, good shower, comfy bed with blackout curtains. Kettle in room but a handy little cafe off reception where you can get food and drinks.
Well located and comfortable hotel providing access to central city area and within walking distance to the park. Hotel room comfortable with a decent bed and modern on-suite bathroom. While on a one way street, we were not aware of traffic noise once in the room.
All staff were very helpful, cleanliness of room and facilities very good. Close to city centre, easy to walk every where.kitchen staff very helpful , I'm coeliac and they where happy to use toastie bags to prevent cross contamination when make toast. Much appreciated. Only negative was the bed was harder than expected.
