Great city hotel. So very central to everything you need - dining and the tram stops outside. Everything you need within walking distance and if you want shopping - it's all at your doorstep. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had one looking out over the city which was really nice. The bed was firm and very comfortable to sleep in. Like a typical hotel room, there was a kettle and cups to make coffee and tea. There was a nice selection of tea (if you are a tea drinker) The hotel manager was very helpful with suggesting places to eat and where to get the best coffee in town! He also helped us book a taxi for our early morning flight out of Christchurch. Would return to this hotel any time

Nice new Hotel in the centre of the City and some 50 metres from a Tram Stop, so a great location for tourists! The room was very large, well outfitted, and everything worked. The Reception staff were helpful and courteous. The refrigerator was empty except for a number of small cartons of milk to go with the good mixture of sachets for hot drinks. There was nothing much on the TV, but with a good wifi speedd I was able to watch my favourite streaming channels from home. There was no food on offer, but out of the Hotl turn left then left again at the nearby junction, and some 100 metres along the road was the Rockpool Restaurant for breakfast and dinner, plus an Irish pub with great Thai food above open for dinner!

My favourite hotel of my trip! The room was in perfect condition, very clean and well designed. The shower was amazing!! The staff were all very friendly and happy to help, I really liked they knew me by name when I checked in! Very welcoming! The location is second to none, right opposite Cathedral Square, in the shopping district. Really close to everything! I was on the 3rd floor and heard no outside noise at all. I especially liked that you needed your room key to get in, felt very safe. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Christchurch

Loved this hotel. Very, very convenient to all restaurants and sites in Christchurch. The room was spacious, quiet, clean, fast elevator. Would def stay there again and recommend to anyone. Many cafes are literally a minute or two away for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there.

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in an ‘inner room’ so no windows, however they have still framed the space and added curtains so the room feels inviting and not like a box. A added bonus was they resulted in absolutely no street noise, excellent for a very central location. Room was large and well appointed with a comfortable bed, large desk and decent sized bathroom. This really is a great hotel, thanks team.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Zimmer sind toll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist perfekt, man hat kurze Wege zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Leider war die Hotelbar im Umbau, dafür gibt es einen Abzug. Alles in allem können wir das Hotel empfehlen.

Very central location. Room was clean and spacious, with air con. Hotel have deal with car perk near by for $10 per exit which was a good deal. Comfy bed, good shower. Bar and restaurant was not yet open. We could see cathedral square from out room, which shows how central it was.

Mr. Suh Teh was more than helpful. HIs professionalism and expertise in hotel management and taking care of his guests was excellent. He guided us to some of the better spots in Christchurch and went beyond what we would expect. His kindness and warmth were expressed in his willingness to help us. His hotel, Christchurch City Hotel was recently refurbished and was continuing in adding a restaurant/dining facility to the property. Should we ever return, we will be staying at his hotel.

Superb location. Lovely spacious rooms, weigh a large wardrobe. Great new barge and fabulous shower with good pressure Quiet and dark for solid sleeping. Would highly recommend. Great value for a new property in the heart of Christchurch.
