Great place to stay close to the airport with a free shuttle service. Lovely staff, immaculate suite. Everything I needed was on hand. The facilities are great. There is a heated indoor pool and sauna. Even though my check in time was in the middle of the night it all went perfectly.

The Commodore is the most welcoming and delightful place to stay. The food, the rooms, the gym and pool, the gardens and outlook from the rooms, all are excellent. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to help. I honestly can't rave enough about this hotel....I have travelled quite a bit in Aotearoa, and this stay beats all!

This hotel is the hidden gem in the Christchurch airport area. Maybe not hidden when you see the list of dignitaries, celebrities, sport stars, scientist that have stayed at this facility. Less than a 4 minute shuttle from the Christchurch airport, the hotel provides it all. Large guest rooms (ours had a green oasis outside a double glass door to a waterfall and wonderful plantings). The corridors are quiet and wide with a hint of symphonic music. Very peaceful. Rooms are quiet and no feeling that you are near an airport. Activities such as swimming, sauna, gym, basketball all part of the visit. The restaurant is quiet, food is wonderful and choice of continental or buffet breakfast. Staff are very helpful. The Commodore has a history affiliated with aviation and exploration. Many scientist and sport elites have stayed here. The walls are filled with memorabilia honouring these important guests. Step up and join the special people of the world and treat yourself to a stay at the Commodore. You will not regret your decision.…

Loved my stay at the commodore they looked after me very well. The room service and food was amazing. Room was very comfortable and great new bathroom. Found it very relaxing and private. Highly recommend staying there. Thank you

Due to weather disruption we needed a hotel at short call and decided on the Commodore. It was a very pleasing decision. The hotel lobby, just a 2, and the room was recently renovated and very acceptable. However the thing that stood out was the friendliness, capability, and over and above support provided by the crew. They were all outstanding, nothing was too much bother. We’ll done to the hotel management for clearly trained staff well and setting a great standard.

After a nightmare in Auckland due to flooding it was pure relief to arrive here, the shuttle was quick, staff friendly, room service great and everything was super clean. The only thing that ruined it for us was having to catch our next flight 5 hours later, however the kids had a sleep so that is all that matters.

After 40 hours of travelling we needed a chance to recover and that's exactly what we got at the Commodore. From the time we called the courtesy shuttle at the airport to the moment we checked out all the team at the hotel did everything we needed to make ourselves feel human again.

Excellent stay! Had to find a quick overnight accommodation due a cancelled flight, turned into a surprisingly great night. Highly recommend this hotel if needing to stay near the Christchurch airport. The hotel common areas and the room itself were all super clean and comfortable, and the staff was excellent!

We stayed two nights at the Commodore Airport Hotel. The airport shuttle picking us up late at night was such a great free service. The staff were so friendly and helpful which made our stay memorable. We had a family room which was very clean and good value. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a staycation at the Commodore with our two wee kids the other night and with the inter-joining rooms it made this stay so much more bearable. Being cramped in one room hotel room with kids is never fun but this gave us our own spaces and beds. The food, coffee, pool and spa, and staff was all exceptional. My 7 year old boy said it was the “best night ever”. Sitting outside on what was a hot night, surrounded by the beautiful greenery and outdoor area, made us feel like we had escaped overseas for a night ! Was amazing! Would highly recommend for families
