Rooms we had were clean and well presented. New Manager extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant. Excellent location for all sporting activities and tournaments in Hagley Park, including the new cricket oval - just a 2 min walk across the road:), Plus shopping and dinner & takeaways on Riccarton road. We would recommend to anyone...

New managers are amazing and went out of their way to help us. They were very patient and loaded all our bags and then all of us and delivered us to the railway station. Rooms were comfortable ( we had 3 ) and location great. Would totally recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Argyle on the Park for the first three nights of our two-week vacation in New Zealand. We enjoyed Argyle on the Park so much, it became the positive standard to which the rest of our accommodations were compared! We visited at the end of autumn/beginning of winter, so it got dark early. This meant...

The location is handy as regards the CBD and Hagley Park, and there are restaurants nearby on Riccarton Rd. The rooms are basic but despite what you can read elsewhere regarding this motel, they are perfectly adequate. You can cook in them, the beds are good and the nice couple running it will store you luggage with a smile

Stayed here 3 nights in March 2015. When we reached from airport around 2.30pm the rooms were being cleaned. The owners rushed to get our room ready which they did in 20-30 mins. The room was neat and clean. The beds were comfortable. It also had full kitchenette. The bathroom was however tiny, but functional. We did have issues due...

We were to arrive into Christchurch from Picton via KiwiRail but the trains were cancelled and we took the bus instead. As soon as we learned of our revised travel plans, we called the Argyle and notified them that we might be late. We again telephoned them when the bus stopped for a rest break and then called again to...

We stayed here for a couple of days and were very impressed - The room we had was huge - more a suite than a room with a spotlessly clean kitchenette, lounge and bedroom and very comfortable bed. WiFi quick and no problem. The hosts were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The location is really good - on the park...

This hotel is just a short walk to the restaurants and Westfield Shopping Centre on Riccarton Road. We walked across the South Hadley Park to the center of town (15 min) and followed the Avon River to the Botanic Garden. The accommodation was very comfortable. Rob at reception offered useful information about the area.

Although the walk from town is about a mile, it is through a lovely park. The room is comfortable with a kitchenette and microwave. The bed is large and reasonably comfortable. The shower looked as if it was going to be a little unreliable, but it had plenty of hot water and was more than powerful enough. The hosts are...
