We stayed at this Motel on days13 & 14 of our 25 day tour of NZ. We then came back for our last night in New Zealand before flying back to UK. Penny & Brian made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and they seemed to know everthing about Christchurch and surrouding area. The Motel complex is attractive...

The hotel was clean, conveniently located, with all the features and facilities you would expect from such a motel. What made this exceptional was the welcome, helpfulness and friendliness of Brian and Penny, the owners. They could not have been better. We stayed trwice on our tour and our reception was great on both occasions. My wife had broken her...

The Camelot is is quirky hotel in terms of style - faux tudor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the location close the city centre is hard to beat. While Christchurch has suffered from significant damage due to the earthquakes the service offered by Bryan and Penny at the Camelot has not obviously not dipped from that listed in...

We stayed here for just one night. The host were very welcoming – nothing was too much trouble. They advised us which restaurants they recommended. The room was excellent with lots of space and really quiet. We would have no hesitation coming back to Camelot

We had spent three nights in Camelot Motor Lodge last January (2011) after tedious 24h series of flights. The place was nice, comfortable and quiet but the biggest praise we have is for Brian and Penny. They have done their best and made our stay convenient and easy with their great patient help, clever and practical tips and pleasant and...

We had the opportunity to spend six nights here in October. On arrival Penny & Brian went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room was excellent and the staff catered to all our needs. It was so nice that they were all so upbeat about Christchurch despite the earthquake damage visible just a block away....

We used the Camelot as base camp before and after our trip around NZ. Hotel facilities were fantastic for a city which has had an earthquake rip through it. Everything was well maintained and clean. Penny, Brian and the staff were so very helpful and made you feel like you were dealing with family. Any queries we had we were...

I was almost put off by the 'Camelot' theme when looking at this hotel initially but am so glad it didn't stop me booking. This was a great place to stay in Christchurch. Very convenient to the city. The owners were really lovely, helpful people. The room was very clean, tidy, comfortable and well maintained, oh, and very quiet. We...

After travellling for 17 days through both islands and staying in many hotels and motels Camelot was definately the best place we had stayed. The fully equipped kitchen, bathroom bedroom/living was spot on. Do not be put off by the first appearance of the place. The warm welcome we received melted us with fresh roses in our room. The rooms were comfortable and worked well for the four days we stayed. The little kitchen was perfect. Our hosts Penny, Brain and Lyndal were all so helpful. They really are in the right field;...
