Great experience here overall. Large kitchen, spacious rooms, free WIFI and nice little lounge area makes this a great hostel. Plus great prices available. I did get very little sleep here but that was on no part the fault of the hostel, unfortunately I had loud room-mates. Location was great, opposite the arts centre and the Canterbury museum. Stay here...

We stayed in this hostel for two nights and had no real issues with the place, except for the fact that it's a really old place and it could do with renovating. It sits right opposite the Botanical Gardens and within a 10 minute walk you're in amongst the shops in town. The sightseeing buses drop off/pick up right across...

A beautiful old building, which barely functions as a YHA. It has a very small amount of bathrooms for the amount of people. The dormitories are large and the high ceiling help to make the rooms feel bigger. The hostel is well situated to all the key tourist areas, the other hostel and if required a tram stop (a tourist...

Stayed in this quaint old building for one night while stopping through christhhurch at the end of a trip around the south island. Great kitchen and large dining area as is usual for YHA hostels. Beds were a little old although still comfortable, and bathroom was not the nicest I've seen at a YHA but still fine. 15 minute walk...

We stayed one night in the private double bedroom. The room was lovely and very much in keeping with the quaint style of the listed building. The big bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette / en suite facilities are basic and may not be to everyone's tastes but they were very clean and in good working order. The staff member...

The kitchen was excellent; spacious and clean. Stayed in a mixed dorm room for 6. I was on the top bunk and found a dead bug on my bed. The room was a little stuffy. Other than that it was good and clean. Towels provided and the staff was nice enough to send them up to the room. Neighbourhood can...

This is a great place to stay. Good location. Quiet - slept well. Kitchen odors came up the stairs and were strong in my room, but I was able to open the window and air it out. Clean. Large kitchen well stocked.

I stayed twice in June each time for just one night. I had a lovely clean 4 bunk room, the first night to myself. The room and whole house was very clean and had good facilities. The bathrooms on the floor I stayed on were out of order for renovations, however this wasn't an issue as there were others downstairs....
