Couldn't fault the room, the beds, or the facilities and the central location is ideal for visiting the museum, art gallery, riverside walks, and what's left of the CBD. It will be even better when the Arts Centre is repaired and again functioning. The only suggestion is: they could have given more in-room guidance on local eateries. Just one menu/venue...

We stayed in the motel and were impressed by the comfort and cleanliness. Staff were extremely helpful. We appreciated being able to pick up breakfast and take it back to the room. We loved the location. Close to all the major attractions. We considered it excellent value and would certainly return.

Stayed twice in two week period in March and this Guesthouse was just wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful with bookings and directions for different activities for us. We enjoyed the location and quiet in a busy city with easy access to major sites. Our room included a kitchenette so cooking our meals was delightful and sitting on...

We had a lovely stay at the Grange. The property is situated in a lovely spot with the botanic gardens and restaurants all within close walking distance. Its probably a 15 minute walk into Christchurch city centre but we thought this was a great spot to stay. The room was very clean and functional (we had a ground floor studio)...

I arrived very late to find clear instructions as to how to access both the front door and my room which was deliciously warm as the heater was helpfully switched on. The room was beautifully presented and the bathroom more than adequate. I stayed in the main building however there are Motel type rooms at the back of the property....

Spent three nights here at the start of our visit to NZ. The Grange's central location meant that we were in walking distance of Christchurch centre for sightseeing and restaurants. We had a cosy en suite room in the main building. It was spotlessly clean and served a great breakfast. Our host Linda was welcoming and a great source of...

Received a warm welcome and given a good insight into Christchurch. The room was really comfortable and and in a very clean condition. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. We went for the optional breakfasts which were great. The big advantage of this guesthouse is that it has parking available on sight especially as it is close to the...

Our room was very nice, spacious, tidy and well-equipped. The guesthouse is just a few minutes walk from the city center in a very quiet neighborhood. Free parking provided. We would come back any time!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the charming Guesthouse for 3 nights. The location was excellent so we could park the car (free) and walk easily to the park, restaurants, museums, etc. We had a room furnished with handsome antiques plus the use of the common room. A cooked-to-order breakfast was included with our room. Very nice.

Nicely appointed room with spacious bathroom and king bed. Close to many things (Canterbury museum, parks, tram) but still relatively quiet for a good night's sleep. Would stay here again if traveling to Christchurch.
