We booked a queen-sized room in this lovely Victorian House. Although our room was on the first floor next to the reception and in front of the house, it was quiet. The bathroom is very interesting -- high ceilings and a long layout reminiscent of period rooms. The location is excellent -- it's within walking distance to Botanic Gardens, Cathedral...

When we arrived at the motel we were met by Linda who gave us good information about the area. Our first floor room was well appointed and maintained. Part of our trip was concerned with Hospital appointments which was only 10-12 minutes walk away and we also found several good restaurants at about the same distance. We found the staff...

From the time we made our booking to the time we checked out, the staff at The Grange were warm and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was beautifully appointed, warm and had everything necessary for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee spot on. I would definitely stay...

Stylish, comfortable, recently renovated studio. Really good location with easy, level walk to city centre, restaurants and parks. City tram stop at front door. Linda and the staff were wonderful, offering us parking for the day after checkout as we had a later flight. If you're visiting Christchurch, stay at The Grange. You'll be glad you did.

Due to challenging family circumstances, I've been visiting Christchurch almost monthly since 2013. I've gotten to stay in a lot places but The Grange is my absolute all time favourite! Amongst much else - from the decor to the central location - I love the care and devotion that goes into the running of the motel and guesthouse. The care...

The Motel is walking distance to the city centre and also near to a park that has a beauty and scenic lake. Eva and Linda were very forthcoming and welcoming and made us feel at ease and at home. I am thankful that they accommodated to our timings as we had to leave early next morning. The room is also...

I stayed 5 nights in one of the motel rooms. The location was great as far as getting around the city was concerned. The rooms were clean & overall of a extremely high standard. The highlight was the service I received while I was there. Can't fault it. Fully recommend staying here.

My wife and I had planned on a long weekend get away over Queen's Birthday Weekend. We were looking for hotels and then discovered this little gem right in the heart of Christchurch at the end of Armagh St. What a delightful B&B/Motel The Grange is. We were warmly welcomed and taken to our first floor, self contained unit. Our...
