Very classy Victorian Manor walking distance to center of Christchurch. Excellent food and beverage services on site. We were welcomed with a delicious glass of bubbly that was much appreciated after a long day of travel. The breakfast was exquisite with freshly squeezed juices, creative and eclectic offerings all included in the stay. The staff was attentive, friendly, professional and accommodating. We enjoyed one superb dinner there and the staff packed us a delicious breakfast to go because we had an early morning train to catch. Free on site parking available and an intimate cocktail service in the shaded patio area or small bar. Highly recommended for your Christchurch visit.

Our new favourite restaurant. This is fine dining at its best. Always greeted so warmly. The bar area is so cool and the cocktails are brilliant. The decor is great. The food is outstanding. We have tried a few different dishes and they are all so delicious. BUT you must try the salt and vinegar potatoes, the sourdough with brown butter and honey and lamb shoulder.!!! Go with a group and try it all. Now the service is flipping awesome. Friendly, helpful, funny and actually engaged. Look forward to going back next week.

Hotel is about 15 minutes easy walk from the centre of Christchurch. Staff v welcoming (we so appreciated the spontaneous suggestion of a jug of iced water on a hot day) and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast was great -really loved the fresh juice. It’s an a la carte breakfast ( one choice from the menu) -we loved the Miro Benedict . We had the trust the chef evening meal -excellent food! We would highly recommend this hotel

The building itself is very well maintained and decorated beautifully. However, the star of the show is the level of service provided by the staff. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and attentive. Breakfast was wonderful and the location was convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during a road trip and wish we could have stayed longer! This house is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! They’ve done such a wonderful job preserving the history of the building while still making sure modern amenities are available for a comfortable stay. We hung out in the lounge both evenings for a delicious cocktail and cheese board before walking to the strip for dinner. We also got surprised one day when a staff member brought us some of the BEST baba ganoush we’ve ever had. We had breakfast here both mornings and LOVED the fresh juices and the eggs Benedict! Both were full of flavor and a perfect start to our days. On top of the delicious food, beautiful rooms and amazing location, the staff was so kind, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There was always someone available to answer questions, provide recommendations and just chat with! We learned so much about Christchurch and the South Island and loved getting to know the staff. Can’t wait to come back!

Eliza’s Manor is a lovely inn but what really makes it stand out is the exceptional staff. There are lots of nice inns and hotels across the world, but when it comes to the staff, it’s hard to rival the staff at Eliza’s Manor. We had breakfast and dinner there — both were excellent. Highly recommended!

Attended a work Christmas function at Eliza's and it was the perfect venue. Great service, amazing building with fabulous decor. The dinner was so delicious and generous servings - best meal I have had in a long time. Brilliant place for a big or small group. Stayed the night which made it all that much better!

We recently stayed at Eliza’s Manor while travelling around New Zealand. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a friendly smile and provided with everything we could possibly need. The rooms and manor itself are exquisite and there’s something interesting to look at around every corner. We couldn’t fault our stay- from the meals, personable interactions and extra care that was given. Thank you so much! :)

In a very beautiful historic old B&B, you often never know exactly what to expect. Will the food be as good as the photos? Will the bathrooms be updated and clean? Will there be accessible off street parking? Will the location be as convenient as it appears on the map? Well Eliza’s Manor, on a scale of 1-10, gets a 10 on just about everything above, except the food, which gets a 12!!! One of our best dinners on this 31-day trip that will not be forgotten. And the current staff are all thoroughly delightful and very helpful , making our stay in Christchurch nothing short of wonderful. I can only think of one possible improvement- 1 more towel rod in our bathroom, but please don’t change anything else!!!

We loved our stay from the moment we arrived we were welcome by super friendly, yet professional staff. Bags were taken to our room whilst we relaxed over a coffee before taking a walk into the central city. Returned to the warmth and ambience of the wonderful cozy living spaces - time for a cocktail with friends. Super comfortable armchairs, interesting artworks and delicious cocktails. We booked for dinner at Miro at the Manor - why go out of the hotel when you can enjoy such exquisite cuisine. Recommend the Tasting Menu - delightful treats with a wine selection to complement the dish. Then up the impressive Kauri staircase to our Deluxe super king room - the bed had been turned down with the electric blanket switched on -nice. Rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with a super cool mini bar and fridge, nespresso machine and coffee. Oh and a bedtime treat...Breakfast was on another level again - simply scrumptious. Just go - you'll love it.
