My wife and I recently stayed 2 nights in Eliza's Manor. The historic house was an ideal location to explore Christchurch in that is fairly close to the city center. Our room though having considerable Victorian charm was also very modern with an up to date luxury bathroom and ventilation system. In Christchurch we enjoyed punting on the Avon, the...

We stayed here for one night after arriving in New Zealand. It was just what we needed after long flight from US. We walked over to the beautiful Botanical Gardens in the afternoon & walked to a nice little Irish pub for dinner. Accommodations very comfortable, beautiful property, and loved the little stuffed bear!!

We stayed here for one night only, shame it wasn't for longer, the property is beautiful. There is the history of it in the room which is worth a read. The staff were most welcoming and pointed us in the right direction for everything we needed in the short time we were here. It is quite central so you can...

A historic house which has been renovated. Good breakfast spread and full range of cooked options. The Eggs Benedict was especially good with home made hollandaise sauce. We had the smallest room (Maids Room) but it was comfortable with a good shower. The front garden was a feature with wonderful roses.

We used this B&B for an overnight stay after flying in to Christchurch, not only was everything about out stay A* the staff were most helpful in helping to maximise our stay with maps and directions. It's a good location we were able to walk into the city centre. Our breakfast was one of the best we have experienced. We...

We very much enjoyed staying at Eliza's Manor. So much of old Christchurch was destroyed in the earthquake, it was so interesting to stay in such an historic building. We loved reading about the history of the building and that the house originally belonged to the P of PGG Wrightson. The woodwork was magnificent, particularly the stairwell made of Kauri...

We stayed for two nights over New Year. It was easy to walk to the centre and to Hagley Park (excellent Botanical Gardens) where the New Year celebrations were held. The staff were really friendly and helpful - even helping with our baggage which is often not the case in NZ. Really good breakfast in the courtyard. Our only criticism...

This is a nice old school hotel in a good area of Christchurch, also conveniently located to get to/from the airport. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city centre. We only stayed a night in a comfortable room. As it was street-facing, there was a bit of noise, but it wasn't too bad. Since we had to leave...

Very cosy old heritage building in beautiful surroundings. The roses was blooming when we were there. Only 5 minutes walk to the beginning of Victoria Street where a lot of good restaurants is located. The staff were friendly and the breakfast perfect!

Spent two nights and found the location good for us. A five minute walk to good selection of restaurants and about 15 mins to city centre. Room nice with great sized leaded window and thick curtain to keep out light and traffic noise. Good tea/coffee selection and comfortable bed. Breakfast good although would have preferred eggs cooked a little less!...
