We had a great stay at Eliza's Manor. Great central location so you can walk to most things a tourist would come to Christchurch to see. Anne was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay (Even seeing us off at 3:30am even though we told her not to!). Our room was top notch with a great soaking tub and a...

Eliza's is a lovely old building, extensively repaired after the earthquakes. Our room was large, bright and airy with a huge bathroom. Nice touches like complementary wine and beer, biscuits and the chocolate teddy bears. Breakfast is huge if you go for "the works"! What does make it special though is the reception from the hosts Ann and Harold. Nothing's...

A solid accommodation located close to the city center - really cleaned up and good breakfast. But what really makes the difference is Ann – a heartily welcome with lots of tips and always available for questions

A great welcome on arrival. We were shown to our lovely large bedroom in this beautiful old Mansion with heaps of original features. Built in the mid 1800's the rooms are very spacious with high ceilings and nicely decorated, however, the en suites are modern and tiled with great showers. Located on Bealey Avenue it is within walking distance of...

Unique experience to stay at this Victorian style accomodation. The whole place feels more like a home then a hotel. Feels comfortable and very recommended. Breakfast was really good and comes in great variety. Worthy stay.

Although on a busy street, once you are inside Eliza's you will forget all about the traffic outside. But before you go in, take in the gorgeous building, and if you go in spring as we did, the splendid wisteria and other flowers. Ann will give you the warmest of greetings. Imagine the most nurturing grandmother/mother/friend and that's what you'll...

A wonderful place to stay! Ann and Harold are wonderful hosts. The rooms are stunning and the breakfasts beautiful. My coeliac diet was happily addressed. It's a good location - a pleasant walk to the city. Our hosts took trouble to ensure we were comfortable and offered wise tips on travel plans. We'd go back in a heartbeat. Beautiful bears...

Elegance of a by-gone era We stayed in this boutique hotel just about exactly 20 years ago, and both its name and the picture of their exquisitely carved Kauri wood staircase has never left our memory, thus when it came to selecting a 2 night abode in Christchurch during our “homecoming trip”, the immediate question was: is Eliza’s still around,...

My husband and I stayed as a wedding anniversary treat. What a special place, extremely comfortable and lots of lovely treats that made our stay enormously enjoyable. Thank you for you fabulous breakfast and kindness. Watching the world cup rugby quarter final while having breakfast was an added bonus:)
