We had presumed we had booked the “Studio Unit” well what a dump couldn’t swing a cat! No where to put luggage! Milk was given in a small jug! No spoons to stir your coffee or tea! Jug cord could not reach the plug had to be careful it didn’t tip! No net curtains for privacy only curtains to close and were in the dark ! I had questioned what I had booked to the lady at front desk she said this is what I booked! I said I’m here for a few days and if I knew the room was a shoe box no way would I have booked! Also looking at the photos on the website they have all other rooms but not the shoe box ! So don’t waste your money!

The room was advertised as a studio appartment. This turned out to be a shoe box with no room to swing a cat let alone two adults with luggage. There was no room service or cleaning and no replenishment of tea , coffee and milk. There appeared to be no foresight that we were booking this from UK and therefore would need ample room for our luggage. It was not good value for what resulted in minimal accommodation. It is on the outskirts of the city so about 20 mins walk. The facilities in our room were limited to a fridge only. There was no laundry room. The proprietor said she was full the first night but could upgrade us the following night. However we saw their roadside sign said vacancies and it was not worth the upheaval to upgrade for one more night which I suspect she knew would be our response.

The Studio room is poorly kitted out, a small bar fridge placed on an old desk in the corner, the kettle could not be plugged in from the desk as the cable is too short. No plates, knives or forks and glasses available. Although they advertise that "rooms have cooking facilities", the studio has nothing, not even a Microwave.

All the reviews that they are friendly are false ! No wifi unless you pay. Host is totally unfriendly, unhelpful. We were totally shocked by the level of hospitality given. Nobody at reception most of the time. Call for room service ask for extra pillows, they thought you speak greek. Not enough towels in the room. Got to call and ask. Location is far far away from town. 20 min walk to town. Value for money highly questionable ?

This is the worst place in New Zealand , the room smells like something died in there ! the rooms are shouting out 'cheap and nasty' and to top it off the manager has bad breath and has a loud and blunt manner that just puts you off , we only stayed one night because we are fast learners , dont bother going near the place, rat haven !

Three friends stayed in a two bedroom unit. There were some long dark hairs on the shower wall - not ours! My electric blanket didn't work. I told the lady at the reception desk, but she didn't write it down, so I doubt anything was done. The room wasn't serviced during our two night stay. The wifi is supplied via a third party agent. It was excruciatingly slow to respond & kept dropping out. The room reeked of smoke. Won't stay here again.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here and the stay was amazing. Highly recommend. The owners of the motel are always there to answer any questions and are lovely people. The room was very warm, with own kitchen and bathroom. Thumbs up from me

Room 7 good spacious unit. Location is handy to CBD. Dated décor and bathroom door needed easing however great value for money. We would happily stay again as never expected 5 star for the price we paid.

I stayed one night here. Only to have property taken from me. I would not go back and this is a warning to all potential people. If you leave something behind... They will keep it and tell you lies. Unsafe, unsecure. Inappropriate location for children, noisy and dangerous roads and speeding drivers only meters away from units. Over priced and unclean environment. Unhelpful and disrespectful. Absolutely disqusting 0/10 Done laundry and came back smelling heavily of urine. Plenty of decent other acceptable motels minutes away. I've had to involve the police to have my proprty. Made complaint directly to be told hez a BUILDER not a motel owner manager worker compliant resolver. ⚠ 'BLACK MOULD' ⚠
