Not cheap but some things are worth every penny, and this is one of them. Thank you Bridgett and Brian, you were so accommodating and helpful. Our family appreciated the use of your grill for our Christmas dinner! Also, your two service women were so nice, friendly and fun! Loved their Christmas antlers! Future visitors, this place is top notch...

Merivale Manor had all the amenities. Very clean and large bathroom. I got a couple of pieces of fresh toast for breakfast and fresh milk. There is also a selection of breakfast cereals to choose from and tea and coffee in the kitchen. If you are staying in the rooms closer to the main street, I suggest bringing ear plugs...

Very clean. Recently remodeled. Great lighting. We loved it and wish we had stayed longer. We needed a room for one night before we started a tour. Our hosts were great and made us feel welcomed. Highly recommended.

We had 2 nice nights in this hotel a bit outside of Christchurch but still well located and not too far from the center. Room was pretty big and well decorated in the big house. Staff is extremely nice.

Made very welcome on arrival. Room exceptionally clean and toiletries supplied. Close to parks, restaurants and pubs - all in walking distance. Our room was a self contained 'motel' room (within the grounds of the Manor) and although close to the road there was no noise from traffic. Would recommend the Merivale Manor for either an overnight stay or longer...

This was perfect for our stay in Christchurch, we just wish we could have stayed longer! Karen & Wayne were both incredibly nice and helpful with anything we needed. The room was very clean and had great amenities. Location was great too, restaurants and shopping down the street and also super close to the city. We would highly recommend this...

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our holiday. It was just perfect. The service is above and beyond. The first day we arrived late and Wayne greeted us. Right away he welcomed our children and mentioned to our daughter, who broke her arm right before we left, that he had the perfect cure- and gave her a...
