We booked a spa studio room and we immediately impressed with the room. It was well presented and well furnished. The room was spacious with a Queen bed, wardrobe, small table and fully equipped kitchen. A small breakfast is provided along with tea and coffee making facilities. The ensuite bathroom was spacious enough and the spa bath a nice luxury....

Just returned from a fantastic 8 night stay at the Merivale Manor. The Merivale is in a great location, within walking distance of Christchurch town centre, local restaurants and bars. The rooms are very well equipped and of a very high standard. The room was serviced each day to the same standard as if you had just arrived. Look forward...

We stayed in one of the Spa studios, while our daughter - the Bride and Bridesmaids stayed in the Manor. We couldn't have asked for anything more from Wayne and Karen, all the little extras in the room - like flowers and chocolates and spotless rooms, and accommodating my husband's requirements to watch his football match, resulting in a late...

We booked a room in the manor house which was perfect for us. Great extra details made by the owners and the hosts could not have done anything more to make our stay better. Merivale shops and restaurants just a 5 min walk away otherwise the bus into the city centre stops outside the hotel. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent start to our New Zealand holiday! The hosts, Wayne and Karen, were very friendly and helpful assisting with sights to visit as well as the best route to drive around the South Island. On arrival we were upgraded, fabulous room full of charm and character. We returned for our last night in New Zealand and staid in the studio...

This is really nice place with rooms in the old Manor House which has been refurbished to a high standard as well as Motel units in the front drive. We stayed in both as we had to change our booking following the earthquake. If we had to book again, we would definitely stay in the Manor House, even though it...
