staying at clearview lodge is less of a b&b experience and more of a gracious visit to your very good friends' estate where they have created a marvelous life around their vineyard, their orchards, their gardens and the neighborhood golf course (which just happens to be the venue for the nz open again this year). we were lucky enough to...

Met all expectations from time of booking to time of leaving. Sue and Robin are perfect hosts and our first B&B (ever!) was a wonderful experience. It was a lot more expensive than some hotels we've stayed at but we've never stayed anywhere where they welcome you with a glass of their own brewed Pinot Noir and offer transport to...

in october 2012 me and my husband got married at clearview lodge. we were aware it was not a wedding venue but the owners agreed we could get married there as long as we booked all three rooms out for the night and also if my husband and i booked a room the night before. so we did that. we...

We refuse to stoop to the level that these guests have descended. You only need to read the first sentence 'me and my husband' to recognise the standards these guests are operating at, while the assertion that the salmon was 'tinned' is also a reflection on their inability to recognise quality, while the claim that the place was 'left as...

We stayed at Clearview Lodge for one night at the end of our holiday and loved it - a perfect end to an awesome trip. Our hosts were wonderful and made our stay so enjoyable with the excellent level of service. We felt so welcome ( kids and grandparents as well) and Sue went out of her way to organise...

I stayed at Clearview Lodge for one night on a business trip. While this Lodge is probably not targeting the business travel market, it was a great alternative to a traditional business hotel. With many of the large inner city Christchurch hotels not in operation, you need to consider alternatives such as Clearview if you want quality accommodation. The location...

One of the most relaxing places I have stayed. Fantastic, helpful and interesting hosts. Very large warm quiet rooms and full size bathrooms. Superb locally caught smoked salmon breakfast was a highlight along with wine and port produced locally on the estate. Walk the grounds, use the pool and enjoy 25 minute proximity to the City centre.

We had a great stay at Clearview Lodge. Lovely setting with nice big large room and good ensuite. The best part was the brilliant service and welcoming hospitality. We wish we could have stayed longer and recommend it highly to anyone else.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We hope you enjoyed your golf at Clearwater Golf Resort. Don't forget to call in and give us a call, in November, if you are coming to the BMW New Zealand Golf Open.

Everything said above describes Clearview Lodge in brief. The large comfortable rooms with beautiful garden views, 10-15 minutes from Christchurch Airport & hosts who coped with a massive storm that created a blackout for 2 hours managed with ease to make us feel very content & comfortable in their home. We were travelling with 2 friends & all thought Clearview...

Thank you for taking the time to write your kind review. Sorry you had be out in the dramatic weather when you picked up your hire car but very glad you missed landing into it. That sort of weather isn't a regular occurrence for us fortunately and all the garden now has its lovely spring green on. The plants didn't...

This was our second stay at Clearview Lodge and it was again a fabulous choice. Sue and Robin are friendly hosts who understand their guests and happily adapt to suit their guests requirements. We were travelling for business and visiting family, and the location, close to the airport and the northern part of Christchurch suited us perfectly. The Pinot room...

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again in the future. Thank you for sharing your delicious cultured butter with us. We will look out for it down here.
