We had to travel to Christchurch for our dog, Toby, to see a specialist vet and this motel was perfect! It is dog friendly and just down the road from the vet we needed to see (McMaster and Heap). Great location, the staff are kind and cared about how our dog was. The room was very clean, linen is superb, all amenities included. There is a little park across the road where we could take our dog for a play and McDonald's and other eateries are just down the road. The motel also offers a continental breakfast for a good price, perfect for our needs. Our room had a lovely balcony where we could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Also, I accidentally forgot my iPad and the staff called me to let me know before I even missed it! They offered to keep it safe until we return to Christchurch next week, really appreciate that! Fantastic, dog-friendly place to stay, highly recommend :)…

Stayed here for one night. Gill checked me in. She is wonderful and amazing to deal with. Loved her service. Room was big with facilities like kitchenette, microwave, tea-coffee making etc. bath room had spa bathtub. Room and bathroom were clean. More than Enough towels were provided. Parking is free. Totally enjoyed my stay.

Clean and comfortable rooms, just a short drive to anywhere you'd want to go. The host Sophia is very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay in Christchurch a good one. If I visit Christchurch again I'll definitely be staying here, highly recommend.

Much like my title suggests. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, spacious, fantastic location for Arena, and all the other many attractions that Christchurch has to offer then don't look past the Addington Stadium Motel. The comfy beds feel just like home and the unlimited internet, free Netflix and large t.v in the room is the perfect way to kick back and relax at the end of a busy day exploring all Christchurch have to offer. The Host, Owner was so friendly, warm and welcoming and went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely and memorable stay. We got the best rate in town and was a lovely place for our family to stay as a base while we explored everything on our "must do" list. Our young son loved what he fondly called his "motel house" and was very sad the morning we left the Motel. He can be hard to satisfy sometimes but he absaloutely loved the Motel. Our unit was a studio for the first 2 nights which was tidy, easy accessible with parking right at the front door. It had a bath, kitchenette and all the extras that we needed for our stay. We extended our trip and moved in to a 1 bedroom unit which had the queen bed in the bedroom and the single bed in the living area which was perfect for our family. This also had everything we needed and was super comfortable. We enjoyed the fact that the motel was so handy to all the activitys we wanted to check out with the kids and that nearby it had a Supermarket, petrol station, shops and food outlets. We highly recommend Addington Stadium motel and can't wait to come and stay again.…

Handy to Horncastle Arena, however if you want to let your hair down and have a couple of laughs make sure you are in the bottom units as the floor is not soundproof. Some units had a spa bath which was nice. Unfortunately one of the rooms had a water issue which meant the water had to be turned off for the last night.

We stayed here for just one night recently before taking the TranzAlpine train to West Coast the next day. We found super helpful staff and were provided with a ride to the train station next morning. Our studio was clean and provisioned with everything you might need for an overnight stay. Only down side was a group of young hockey players who seemed to be practising their game in the unit immediately above our heads. Mentioned to manager next day - think she took a dim view of their activities. Would stay again for convenience.

Thanks for the review and I do apologise for the noise from the upstairs unit. Unfortunately you were below the one room in the large group of hockey players who were noisy, in spite of their coach's assurance that they would be quiet after 9pm. Our units have double glazed windows for road noise, and there is never noise between adjacent units, other than on rare occasions from an upstairs unit. All are carpeted, so not sure what more I can do to minimise this. Thanks for staying with us and I do hope we see you again - and I promise there will be no hockey team staying above you next time ;-)

Purpose of visit was to attend a 2 day event at the Horncastle Stadium. This is a short walk from the motel Also it is not to far from the Airport and city centre. The motel unit was clean and warm. Serviced daily.

If you are going to something at the Horncastle Arena, there is no better place to stay than the Addington Stadium motel. One of the entrances to the stadium is on the same road. We walked to the stadium in about 15 minutes, very slowly. This Motel was probably built a few decades ago, and the new owners are gradually refurbishing it. It has been repainted inside. It was clean and tidy and everything worked. The bed linen was very nice. The new manager, Sophia, is keen to please, and we found her a pleasure to deal with. She brought us another heater when we found our unit a bit chilly in the Christchurch winter. The charge for a studio unit was around $130/night. The free wifi was one of the best around: it connects quickly and stays connected! A real bonus. Strongly recommended. …
