Decent sized room with a beautiful view looking out at a concrete wall! 6th floor. Food overpriced for what it was. There is parking in the basement for cars but not big vehicles suggest booking and again very expensive.

Expensive rooms but no space in them. The food is awful and ended up skipping my free breakfast.... better to go without. Room service were a bit rude and abrupt when i returned to my room and they were cleaning. The rooms were airless. Facing a brick wall. Air con took ages to work. Felt quite claustrophobic and suffocating! Just...

Functional but dreary hotel devoid of any charm or style. This was the only place we could book in Christchurch due to a number of functions on at the time (Springsteen concert, Quake memorial etc). The pricing was predatory and quite out of context with the mediocre quality of the hotel. Wouldn't stay there again,

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The location was right in the centre of the CBD which was OK the only downside was the road repairs that were being completed with a large number of roads been one way or closed. Had to pay for parking Two blocks way from the hotel which was quite difficult due to the...

I enjoyed my three night stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, the folks at the reception desk were friendly and helpful and I most appreciated that they loaned me a charger for my phone for the length of my stay. Also handy was that there were computers in the lobby for use as well. I will note that WI FI...

Evening arrival. Unaware the Ibis doesn't do valet parking I handed over my car keys. Instead of telling me I would have to do it myself the staff member did it for me. Next morning I found out valet parking isn't available. Parking is $25. per night. My room & bathroom were spotless. Bed was very comfortable. Air con was...

We found the hotel to be basically okay, nothing outstanding, but nothing to complain about either. The hotel is about 4 blocks from the bus depot so you can take a bus from/to the airport for only $8.50. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown.

The hotel itself was pretty nice, i will have to say that do to all of the construction right now it was really hard to get there. Also if you are using Agoda to book i would suggest confirming with the hotel as mine didn't go though. Ibis staff did find me a room and everything did turn out well...

Room 610 only had a view of the opposite window, so a little disappointing. The beds were comfy though and there was all the usual things you'd hopefully find in a nice hotel. Ironing board bad iron. Fridge, tv, tea/ coffee making, free WiFi for guests and shower.( No bath as the room was a little small). Food and drink...

For a number of years since the quake there have been very few downtown Christchurch hotel options. The Ibis is a fairly pricey option, but nicely located in town. It's a bit soulless (sorry!) but quite competent. Other hotels located out of downtown have more individual character, but less central location.
