How can you review someone who has had more than 40 people telling the world that they are excellent? What more can you add? I think it's suffice to say that when we left Callies, we told Bruce and Jenny "they have a home in Christchurch now and they should drop by our place whenever they are in the Garden...

The only downside of this stay was that we had to leave after one night - definitely not long enough with this lovely B and B and the amazing Otago Peninsula. I can't believe that I'm a kiwi and have never been here before. Jenny and Bruce definitely made our stay, they're so very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble,...

Jenny and Bruce are perfect B&B hosts. We very much enjoyed the time they spent with us, the afternoon we arrived. The room is quite large and includes a comfortable sitting area and a balcony; from there you have stunning view of the bay. I wasn't comfortable to drive my motorbike down their steep gravel driveway, so Bruce advised to...

I would almost come back to NZ just to stay at this place again. It is not wheelchair accessible (up a flight of stairs). The room is well appointed and the hosts made us more than welcome. I loved the peace and quiet and village atmosphere of Portobello. Top B & B accommodation.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon. It was absolutely amazing! The room was lovely and spacious - with a balcony incl. a wonderful view to the sea. The hosts Jenny & Bruce were so friendly and nice. It was hard to say goodbye after only 2 days. We really enjoyed our conversations with them,...

Jenny and Bruce made us very welcome and we enjoyed spending time with them and their little dog, Joey. Nice bedroom and great breakfast too. Pity our two nights booked were reduced to one, as we were stuck on Stewart Island for an extra night, due to bad weather. Jenny and Bruce were very understanding! The Otago Peninsular is a...

Very lovely house with good view. Have a nice talking with Jenny and Bruce, and miss the litter dog now. Jenny introduce us several good trips, and we drive to sandfly bay to see sealion and yellow-eye penguins.

We were welcomed to our accommodation by the lovely hosts. They have the one room available as a B&B - it's like a separate wing attached to their home, a large room with a queen sized bed, lounge area, balcony and its own bathroom. You have breakfast with them in their kitchen and the spread Jenny puts on is the...

For three weeks in December 2014, I travelled around South Island in a "Spaceship" car, which almost provides a bed and everything else to feel comfortable on holidays in NZ. At the end of a fine day, heading from the Catlins to Dunedin, I was actually looking for a campground, when unforeseeable circumstances crossed my intentions which eventually lead me...

We stayed for two nights and were made to feel very welcome in our cosy accommodation. They were very helpful to us and even spent time showing us about Portobello. We are so grateful for their wonderful service which was far beyond what we would normally expect. They are such lovely people with a desire to make your stay on...

Thank you so much for the great review ! We were really pleased we could help a little with your family tree research - it was great that you found the photo at the museum. Do get in touch if you are up our way again, we would love to see you. All the best for 2015, Cheers, Jenny and...
