I don't know what possessed the person who designed our room to include the toilet and spa in the same room with just a small screen for privacy and no ventilation! The manager tried to provide a nice breakfast but the milk was off and the butter off and the butter looked like it had been in the dish too...

We booked here for the Rod Stewart concert. We booked the Olive Room, which on the website shows a four poster bed, this is not in the room, have attached photo. As soon as you walk in the property the damp, musty smells assaults the senses. I left the window in the room open slightly to try and freshen up...

We hit the perfect storm of the Cricket World Cup, students returning to university, and Chinese New Year. There were very few accommodation choices for us in Dunedin. We found the Grandview B&B to be dark, gloomy, and in need of an update. We love old and charming B&B's, but did not find the Grandview to be one of those...

An old house transformed into B&B. Lovely and charming. The owners are polite and helpful. We had a good time hear. Would recommend this B&B to our friends. Breakfast is acceptable. Would come back again

A beautiful old home converted into a B&B. Our traveling partners had a very spacious suite. We had a much smaller room that looked beautiful but was not very user friendly. A bathroom has been built into a corner of the room with 8 ft hight opaque glass walls that did not close to the ceiling. There was no privacy...

This place is sort of stuck in a time warp... it was clean and Marie Therese was friendly and welcoming but it could really do with a facelift. The rooms are dark and although the bathroom within the bedroom is a good use of space, it could do with a door. Situated on the outskirts of town at the top...

Welcoming people, with a good breakfast and a comfortable bed. The free access to laundry was a definate boon after 3 days on the road with a 10 year old. Stunning character building and Steve was a mine of useful info from travelling times to best routes. Will definately be back!!

We like to stay somewhere which reflects the character of the place, and the Grandview certainly lived up to this. We had a shared bathroom with a grand view over the harbour and the city. The old house gives you a feeling of the past, with the grand hallways, the large bedrooms and the dining room and its beautiful bay...

This b&b is in an old house on a hill overlooking the town and harbor. The owner is a mine of information on both the town and touring south island. He gave us great tips which we wouldn't have received from tourist information offices. The continental breakfast is nice and the free WiFi is fast. It is a 10 minute...

Steve was very helpful and we were grateful for collecting our gear and us from the railway station. Grandview certainly has history and we appreciated how they accommodated us. We had a lovely large well appointed double bedroom downstairs and shared a bathroom (across hallway) with the a lovely older cat. We also appreciate how locals take the steep streets...
