We enjoyed three nights at Trev and Lynne's beautiful home and garden. We were welcomed with afternoon tea and homebaked muffins before we settled into our very comfortable room (most comfortable bed of our NZ trip!). The garden and artwork is inspiring, the pets super friendly and the breakfasts enough to keep you going all day. We really enjoyed getting... More

Enjoyed wonderful hospitality here from Lynne & Trev and learnt so much about life on the South Island. Their renovated cottage sits in acres of rambling gardens and guests are welcomed into the fold. Such a peaceful spot to spend some time and left feeling we made new friends.

Honestly, we stayed here by accident as most other central accommodations were fully booked during our planned dates. However, it was the best decision we could have taken! The lovely B&B is some 5 minutes from town (Trevor and Lynne might pick you up from the airport or bus stop, if you do not have wheels) and is nestled within... More

Arriving at Folster Gardens B & B was like arriving at a friends home, but for the first time. Lynne and Trevor were so welcoming. Mary had a garden tour with Lynne, Mark got one from Trevor. Both Lynne and Trevor were busy with renovations but still took time to show us their piece of paradise. Trevors' quirky garden decorations... More

The garden is simply a work of art and you can see all the hard work put in by the hosts, it is definitely worth taking your time to walk through it and... More

We loved our stay there. Both Lynne and Trev were very friendly, informative, creative, and accommodating. The garden is stunning and we liked the slight quirkiness of some of the lawn art. Breakfasts were superb - with fresh baked bread and their eggs, and other local treats. The bed was very comfortable and there were endless things to look at... More

Lynne and Trevor are great hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay during the Rugby World Cup a success. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and home-baking, and soon felt at home. We loved the Art Deco furniture and the unusual collections. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Ask to... More

Room structure ideally suited for a couple and another single traveler. Breakfast is a treat and Lynne and Trevor are wonderful and interesting hosts. Value is very good and you are still close to town.

“This is not a hotel but a Bed and Breakfast Homestay. Not sure why it is bringing up the hotel information. This B & B is out of Invercargill by about 10 kms and this makes it a rather wonderful getaway. We loved Invercargill too, it is a wonderful town and a great place to visit.”
