We stayed here through the kiwi bus for one night in an 8 bed dorm. We entered our room and realised there were no clean beds for us? Which was shocking. We went to reception and were given a new room which was slightly better. However, only four sockets between 8 of us which was so hideous as both are...

We have recently changed ownership and now have four plug extensions available to be borrowed from reception, also added a range booster in the kitchen for the WiFi . sorry your last stay was unpleasant come give the new Tuatara lodge a try.

The rooms were wet and cold, there weren't enough showers or toilets and also my shower was ice cold. The laundry is fairly cheap, but the wash can only be done in cold water and even if you put your clothes through the dryer twice they won't get dry. Conveniently enough you can get kicked out of you leave your...

The most dirty accommodation in town!!! In the price is also included body hair and hair in the bed from other people... The bathrooms and shower are dirty, Don't try, better to sleep in the street instead there... We had booked for 2 night but we run away quickly, and the girl on the reception is unfriendly! Not carrying about...

I really wanted to love this place, but everything kept working against us - the door made a loud buzzing if it was open even a crack, there were no windows in our room, the girls bathroom didn't have handles on the sink and the communal computers misquote the actual cost. I did appreciate the customer service and adore the...

For a hostel the rooms were clean which is the main thing but with limited showers and toilets, dirty dryers, handless pots and pans and a receptionist who isn't quiet sure about things, a movie room with vhs but nothing to play them on and 'free wifi' which only works in reception which closes at 21.00 we think it's over...

I shelled out the big bucks ($29/night) for a standard room (max 4 people in a room). I stayed there in winter, so it wasn't very busy, and I only had one roommate during my entire stay, so that was nice. Another positive is that the kitchen was impressively clean pretty much all the time. On the down side, the...

Stayed here for a couple of nights, arrived at around 11am and wasn't allowed to check in early which was crazy as the whole hostel was empty. Staff weren't great or particularly helpful. The hostel was huge and a bit bleak, needs updating and a bit of atmosphere. Room keys were temperamental. Doors forever banging and there's a cafe below...

Stayed for one night while visiting friends. Requested a twin room but were given at 4 person room for private use my the 2 of us. The women's bathroom facilities were dated and in much need of an upgrade. Didn't really use the kitchen facilities. There were other people staying but we didn't really see or hear any of them...

It's just another youth hostel only extremely large. If you can do opt to pay the extra 4$ for a room upgrade. The cheapest rooms have just too many persons in too small a space to remain healthy. I checked into the cheapest room but when I opened the door I was greeted by an unpleasant stench of bodily smells...
