This place is very close to town. About a 5 min walk into town. Probably less but we had a buggy. The bedroom and lounge are very big. They also lent us a high chair so we could feed the little one. He had plenty of room to play during the day. Great views of surrounding area. Has laundry room... More

We are regular visitors to Queenstown, and have stayed in a number of different accommodation over the years. This was our first visit to Abba Garden motel. It was more budget than we are used to, but as everything else was booked, we were happy to give it a go. There was reasonable off the road parking for the car,... More

Hi, Thanks for the review we appreciate it & thanks for noticing that we've recently had work done on the units. We still have plenty to do (including the bathroom) & we're upgrading all of the rooms bit by bit while still trying to keep the motel as affordable to stay as possible in a very expensive town! Thanks again... More

I have just recently stayed here & found the staff pleasant & informative, the rooms clean & tidy and had been painted fairly recently. Great mountain views and within a 5 min walk of the inner city. Stayed in unit 10 so unsure of previous comments & would certainly disregard! Highly recommended!

Where to start with this hovel pit? First of all, after reading other people comments about the motel which seemed ok, I decided to book my family of four here, while vacationing in Queenstown. Unbeknown to me, as soon as I booked my 3 nights, my credit card was CHARGED! We arrived at the motel late afternoon, only to be... More

I'm deeply offended by your total absolutely disgusting review! Firstly every single wall in that unit has been re-gibbed & painted, it also has 3 brand new beds & all of the coverings are less that a year old. All of the curtains are brand new as it the toilet. There is a bathroom door so why do you think... More

Abba Garden Motel doesn't profess to be the best, and for good reason. This place is very basic, useful for the traveller or travelling family on a budget who aren't looking for the height of luxury. The rooms have been recently refurbished by a handyman, or the owner perhaps. The finish is unprofessional, and even in some cases unfinished... That... More

I booked this motel because it was close to town and offered beds enough for 5 females without anyone having to share a bed. (had struggled to find this option any where else - it was always going to have to be two units at a considerable higher cost) Very friendly and accommodating staff. Obviously in the process of doing... More

We stayed for one night with family of four. We were allowed to check in early. Lack of parking space. Clouse to centre. Good price. Old kitchen and shower. No bathroom. Friendly personal. Near the road.

This property is in need of renovation. Rooms drab and functional. Kitchenette had limited utensils, no coffee pot and teabags were not replenished. Dingy bedroom which required a light on at all times of the day. Very small cramped bathroom with antiquated shower. The Balcony is not a balcony but a walkway. Car park had limited space for maneuvering.

Thank you for your review however...you did not stay in one of our lovely bright rooms with a private balcony but you opted for the cheaper room below which is shadowed by our rooms with a private balcony above. If you'd paid the extra $20 per night you could have also enjoyed this along with the pleasant views over Lake... More

I would normally book somewhere more modern however we left our booking late and this was one of the last places with vacancy, so in a desperate spot this was not a bad place to stay! Clean and comfortable bed, big room and friendly service, sky movies was a highlight for the room. Unfortunately not a lot of privacy and... More

Great budget accommodation in pleasant setting. Good size, kitchen had everything, and dvd player, quality Wi-Fi (something we had had trouble with in other places). Host was enormously helpful. Off street parking, playground and laundry. Walking distance to everything and very close to supermarket. External BBQ, nice balcony with views of hills. Highly recommended.
