We stayed in a double room, which happened to be a normal house on a street with three bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen/living room. It was just a house share and the other couples spent a lot of time in the bathroom which got pretty annoying... It was just a really weird set up. Definitely wasn't cleaned ever... We...

We were woken up by a cleaner coming into our room 2 hours before our 10am checkout. We heard someone come to the door and put the key in the door, as they were fumbling with key (some time) we were both yelling loudly not to come in, but they still opened the door and came in,wyle we were both...

I stayed for a week at Pinewood on a discounted rate. I didn't have very high expectations considering the price however it was worse than I could have imagined. The other people in the block were dirty and unfriendly. They seem to have had a disagreement with management that meant the space was not being cleaned. The one time I...

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our trip around New Zealand. We'd previously spent time in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Picton and Greymouth in the 9 days prior to arriving in Queenstown, and we have since spent some time in Christchurch too. Pinewood lodge was by far the worst stay we had. The room we booked was advertised...

Stayed here for five nights in May. There were so many faults with this place: dirty, fridge broken, only one plug in the room so you have to choose between heating and charging a device to speak to friends and family back home, if there more plugs downstairs this wouldn't be an issue, but there aren't any spare ones, the...

Booked Mill House for 5 adults - ourselves and 3 adult children. Spacious and reasonably appointed. Fittings a little old but everything worked well. Could probably do with some more kitchen utensils as there was not enough for food preparation. Within walking distance to center of Queenstown

We had booked in advance and were not expecting to have to share the kitchen and communal spaces. It seemed more like a hostel than a "Lodge". The room was basic, but suited our needs, and the bathrooms were clean. The staff on the desk were helpful, and answered our questions well. Overall, not a bad place, just not what...

Im in a shared house with 15 others people which is great because everyone is social and something is always going on. Such a mixture of different countries, languages, and past times. If youre a backpacker looking for a cheap and social hostel this is the place for you! 160$/wk can't go wrong

We didn't get the type of room we had asked for. One staff member was very helpful trying to accommodate us, had booked for four nights but the room was filthy, stains on the carpet, dirty kitchen floor, previous guests hair clips etc.. Only stayed one night then got an amazing (clean) place not far away for the same price....

It calls itself a motel but in my view a motel should have self contained bathroom and kitchen facilities. We had to share with other rooms which makes it a backpackers standard. Our unit was in a very flimsy building - a portacabin possibly - with extremely thin walls (noisy) The floor shook slightly as you walked about. We arrived...
