We treated ourselves to two nights here, before and after a 6-day guided walk in the Fjordland. It has a great central location. The restored building has been thoughtfully designed, with attractive common areas. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and introduced to the facilities, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout. The rooms are very...

It bothers me greatly that I could not give this hotel a five star rating as the male host Richard was fantastic. From the moment we checked in he was welcoming, helpful, informative, with exceptional attention to detail. He remembered our names, enquired about our daily activities, made bookings on our behalf, and ensured we were very well looked after;...

We recently completed a 2 week holiday of New Zealand. We stayed at seven different locations over the fourteen days and were so glad we saved the best for last! While we enjoyed all of the hotels we were in, The Dairy was the best of the lot. Richard made us feel so welcome during our three days in Queenstown...

We stayed at The Dairy Private Hotel in Queenstown twice during our tour of the south island. This hotel is very nice - the rooms are beautiful and it is in walking distance to town and also to the gondola to the top of the mountain. The Dairy Hotel feels like a bed and breakfast as it is small and...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dairy. We were a bit worried when we saw that the Dairy is really close to town, as Queenstown was really busy, but the location ended up being fantastic. It was close enough to walk everywhere but was quiet at night. Our room was really comfortable with luxurious linen, fresh baked cookies, lovely...

Stayed 2 nights in March 2017 with my husband. It has a good location for walking to all sights. We were greeted with bubbly drinks. The room was small but very nice & had a balcony. The breakfasts were made to order and were very good.

Richard is a gracious host who goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable. He has endless energy and is ready, willing and able to help you with directions, reservations, activity recommendations or just general advice on the Queenstown area. Our international honeymoon started at the Dairy and it was exactly what we needed. Breakfasts were cooked...

An absolutely fantastic stay. The location was perfect - very close to shops and restaurants. The Dairy was beautiful. The rooms were homely, clean and comfortable. We can't thank Richard enough for his fabulous service! Can't wait to stay again!

This former dairy has been converted to a charming and comfortable boutique hotel near the base of Queenstown's gondola ride. It's location is central to most attractions in Queenstown including the restaurants and cafes (there's a good one across the street!). The rooms are spacious and many have a balcony. There's even hot tub (jacuzzi/spa tub) that we've made good...
