I suppose the key here is never rely on other peoples opinions. The room was more than we expected and the breakfast was excellent. We even got a packed breakfast and more for our day trip out. I would however state, that the walls between rooms seemed exceptionally thin !

Thank you Graeme for your views. Sometimes a short break away is all it takes to charge your batteries and there is no better place to do this than Queenstown. Yes, never a truer word said 'you can't always rely on other people's opinions', that's a fact. I'm glad that you had a good time and Peppers Beacon exceeded your... More

Great location. However was frustrated by the walk through a car park in order to change lifts. Went to fill the jug in the bathroom (as room didn't come with kitchen facilities) but couldn't fit it under the tap. May as well not have a jug there. Bedroom was great. Crumbs found on the small bench which houses the jug,... More

It's great to receive your feedback. It appears that you only found or utilised the carpark route to travel between both accommodation towers. There are actually several routes to go between the buildings, the most popular being the courtyard which is one level above the carpark. The matter of crumbs on the bench is a concern and will be raised... More

Part of group booking. Confusion booking in, rooms not ready, small, with ensuite fit for a caravan. Had to pay $100 for internet access. Then it was capped at 3 devices. Needed ongoing computer as well as phone and iPad. Really not good. No air conditioner although a fan was available. Needed to negotiate steps everywhere so beware if you... More

We have a mixed review for Peppers Queenstown where we stayed for 2 nights. The location is very good with a short walk along the Lake to city shops and restaurants which are only 5 to 10 minutes away. Our room on the 7th Floor had a small lakeside view and was clean and comfortable. That said, we spent a... More

Thank you for your detailed review on Peppers Beacon. I'm pleased to hear that you found the cleanliness and the standard of your room very high, I know the housekeeping department work extremely hard in maintaining these standards and no doubt they will be delighted to read your comments. However I would like to apologise for the delay that it... More

See my previous comment. The view is spectacular and the facility is close to town. However, our room was dated; the rug old and stained, the furniture wobbly and poorly laced, no drawer space and a very small closet. We felt "nickle and dimed" paying extra for coffee, wifi and breakfast. Overall, the room was a bit pricey as well.

Housekeeping did not arrive until 5.30pm - long after we had returned for the day from our activities. I asked if they could come back in 10 minutes when we would be gone especially as one of my sons was showering in one of the bathrooms. Lady in charge of housekeeping did not like this and wanted to start in... More

A little late in writing this review. We stayed in a 2 bedroom lake view apartment in February which we were very happy with. We booked well ahead so got a good rate. The hotel is situated in a pleasant and convenient location, and is an easy walk into the town centre. The view was fantastic, we loved sitting out... More

Peppers Beacon is in a great location and is within easy walking distance of Queenstown township. The main pluses of the accommodation are well appointed rooms, very comfortable bedding, very reasonably priced breakfast with a good selection, a good laundry (free), friendly staff and a good range of Sky TV sports channels. The only negatives were relatively expensive WIFI with... More

Our 2 bedroom suite was amazing, fireplace plus great views and very well appointed. However, the failure to provide free WIFI was very annoying because the paid service only allowed 3 devices and with a family of 4 with 6 devices this caused a lot of hassles and the service was sporadic. Every other large hotel provides it free! Also... More
