Before I left Rachel asked I take 5 mins to write a review about my time at the backpackers, so, as a fellow northern man to a fellow northern girl I shall keep my word. The backpackers is homely its got a lot of rooms yet its still got an intimate feel. Very clean and tidy room, plenty of space,...

19nzd to camp, no BBH discount. Loads of tent sites. It was easy to put in tent hooks. Sandflies were not a problem. There was a clothesline to dry stuff. Small kitchen, but it's constantly cleaned. Not enough seating during peak hours. Free wifi - can't remember if it was unlimited because I was out and about all day. Some...

The receptionist was extremely rude, off handed and unhelpful. The room was down the side of an adjacent property and house, no pathway, no lighting, no signage. Room was like a garden shed with a bed put in it. The proximity to town centre was good but the establishment itself I would not recommend.

Having spent time in Queenstown in a backpackers where I had to walk outside to go to the bathroom, I was quietly surprised that my dorm room had only 4 beds and it's own bathroom inside. The room was spacious, very clean and tidy their communal kitchen was pretty big and looked clean despite all the people. My only confused...

I stayed there a night n got a share room with other two girls. The room is very clean n it's located in a good location. However, I can't feel very welcome when checked in. The lady looked at me when I opened door. I can feel she is not very welcome n rude.

Wifi only worked in the kitchen /common room. Good thing was that you could set up your tent in the...

The housekeepers did clean the rooms real nice. I was given upgrade to ensuite form room which is nice. However bed is wobbly and hard to get good sleep when you're on the top bunk. Lack de charging point too. Kitchen is small for the amt of guess, and often dirty. Fridge is packed with dated stuff. Wifi only available...

Stayed here between walking the Routeburn and then the Kepler Tracks. What a fabulous location facing the lake and an easy walk to DOC office and into town. The place is somewhat dated inside but our 4 bunk bed room with ensuite was clean and the beds were comfortable and there was a heater as it was a cold night....

Good backpackers, I like the four bed dorms with ensuite, quite different for a backpackers. It's clean and tidy , next to the lake and close to the town. What made my experience so memorable was the fact I misplaced my expensive phone while out tramping and kayaking. The receptionist went out of her way to find It, and not...

Spent 3 nights altogether at lakefront backpackers. It was a great stopover before a Milford sound trip. The hostel was great. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. At reception we had Rachel helping us and she was great. Very helpful, always friendly and welcoming. We turned up last minute and did all she could to accommodate us. Would recommend...
