Situated on a ridge overlooking lake Te Anau and the mountains behind it. Great reception areas with stunning views. Lovely bedrooms, but surprised that a lodge belonging to The Luxury Lodges of New Zealand had a cheap LG television with only local channels available, also the cups in the rooms are plastic. Delicious breakfasts and dinners with charming and extremely...

From the outside, a wonderful rustic lodge in a superb setting, with wonderful food (accommodating my gluten free requirement) and helpful and attentive staff. The log cabin was clean and spacious, and as a couple, plenty of choice of beds! However, if only the minor problems could be resolved - no front door key available, we had to enter and...

We spent two nights at the Fiordland Lodge. Breakfast and dinner are included in your room rate. Service was flawless. Food was delicious. All staff were gracious, friendly, helpful. The views from every window are stunning. The rooms are lovely, well appointed and beyond comfortable. I highly recommend this beautiful lodge. Additionally, they made arrangements for us with a naturalist...

Beautiful property, surrounded by yellow meadows. All rooms have a lake view with mountains in the distance. Very calm and serene atmosphere. Even tough the place was fully booked, we did not see other guests except during mealtimes. The restaurant & hotel staff is first class.

Thank you for this review of your stay and the highlights mentioned from the spectacular lake and mountain surrounds to the cuisine and warm service offered by our team. We’re pleased you enjoyed the lodge and the wild beauty of Fiordland and I am sure your helicopter flight to Preservation Inlet was a real highlight. I enjoyed our chats and...

Lovely lodge with superb view. We stayed for 3 nights and took the package that included a cruise on Milford Sound and a helicopter over Dusky & Doubtful Sounds, which we could not fault. To be picked up on the Lodge's front grass makes it a little bit special! Andy & his staff make for a very enjoyable stay, everyone...

This is the luxury lodge closest to the famous fiords, and it certainly makes an extremely comfortable and welcoming base. Saying 'close' though could be a little misleading as Milford Sound is over two hours driving time away and it took a two and a half hour boat and coach trip to visit Doubtful Sound (even more spectacular and much...

We spent 18 days in New Zealand, staying at many fine places and this was by far our favorite. The Lodge is spectacular with incredible views and walking trails, The furnishings are beautiful and so comfortable to be in, our favorite part was at night sitting by the huge fireplace having a glass of wine. Andy, one of the owners...

Very excellent stay!! Both luxurious and cosy at the same time!! Terrific location close to the famous tracks in Fiordland National Park and also driving-distance to both Milford and Doubtful sounds! And on top of everything you can do a lot of other things; fishing for example! The food were terrific and so was the service! The rooms were very...
