One night in this friendly B&B before tackling the Milford Track (which was fantastic). The Host, Margaret, is friendly and full of information. Rooms are simple, practical and comfortable but do not expect a view. The perfect location for pre and post tramping. Excellent and freshly cooked breakfast. About 10 minutes walk from town and a few minutes drive from...

The B&B is in a quiet location not far from the lake. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We left our car over night at the B&B when we did the Doubtful Sound trip. The breakfast was great, the best we had in NZ!

It was a wonderful room with a delicious breakfast. The staff were friendly and when I left my shoe in the room, they promptly mailed it to the North Island without charging me. You get great value for your money at this hotel, its quaint with a beautiful flower garden to enhance the indoor courtyard. I met some very nice...

We had a very comfortable night here, the breakfast is excellent and the facilities like wifi and laundry were good. Our genial host was very welcoming and offered us a choice of room as we were the first guests to arrive that day , which we appreciated. He was also helpful with advice and booked our restaurant for us. Shakepeare...

This place is a little gold mine and is perfect for a stay in Te Anau and visiting Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound. Doug who runs the place is a wonderful and knowledgable host who cooks up an amazing Kiwi breakfast! The rooms are comfortable and if you like hot showers this is by far the place to stay. You...

Ray certainly knows how to show his guests true kiwi hospitality. He went out of his way to help us out during our stay, even personally dropping us to the DOC centre with our hiking packs. His enthusiasm and generosity really made this place. Fantastic cooked kiwi breakfast and omelet. We had a room off the sunroom, which was lovely....

This is a great B&B within walking distance to the lake and town. Unfortunately when we arrived (two couples) they had made a mistake on our booking and only had one room. They managed to shuffle another reservation and we got a room. The room was not in the main building and certainly not as nice as the one that...

We arrived just around 6pm and were greeted by Margaret. She showed us to our room which was just outside the Office and not off the 'sunroom' as many rooms were. The room didn't have a fridge but there was a communal one in the 'sunroom' where we could leave our water. We couldn't fill our bottles from the tap...

Finally a real bed and breakfast, with a comfortable bed, a cosy room furnished with taste, and an unforgettable breakfast. In this place you feel lucky and welcome, you are at home with an old friend.
