We hadn't stayed in hostels before, but having said that we did stay in 8 on this tour. I did really enjoy my stay at this one. We were upstairs in the original colonial house. Very large room with modern en-suite bathroom. High ornate ceiling both in our bedroom and in some common areas downstairs. Also some other original colonial...

Nice place in the center of Westport. Charming house with a lot of space. Like most of the YHA place, plenty of people ! The dorm was big enough for all the backpacks. Bunk beds too fragile... moving a lot. Free limited wifi. Garden very pleasant and dinning area outside as well !

Stayed in the 6-bed shared dorm which was tucked nicely in a corner of the property. The main building itself is a beautiful place. Plenty of parking available and there's a side gate which leads directly to the carpark. Staff seems okay but doesn't provide much info about the place other than giving you directions to your room. One thing...

The hostel was okay, but the staff at the front desk was very rude, which kind of soured the experience for me. People I was travelling with also had unpleasant experiences with the reception staff, so it wasn't just an isolated incident. It was generally clean and the facilities were sufficient, but the interactions with staff mean I can't recommend...

This is a nice little hostel with great facilities. The toilets and kitchen areas are nice and clean. Only complaint would be the mattresses were quite thin in the dorms so you felt like you were sleeping on the iron underneath! I'd be happy to stay here again in the future.

Staff was very unfriendly. Screamed at my friend when she asked a simple question. It was clean and has nice hangout areas and the rooms were alright. The beds were very squeaky and the free wifi runs out even if you and you're device is on the beach all day, interesting..

Stayed here for a one night stop over, the hostel is very nice with a massive kitchen area and outside eating area. Rooms were basic but just what you need really, great place to stop over on our road trip, definitely recommend.

Hostel facilities very nice, kept clean, however not enough. Big queues for the showers and toilets in the morning. Kitchen too small for number of guests, but again very clean. We stayed in the caravan and some other guests were having a few drinks in the garden. It was terribly noisy even ear plugs didn't help. Signs around the hostel...

Beware of the ''funny'' stuff... Booked us a double room for 70NZD a night. Then we saw that the hostel has only 200MB of free WiFi. For our question regarding an unlimited WiFi spot in town the lady behind the counter advised us, that people who are to broke to be dependent on free WiFi from the library should better...

Trip Inn is a lovely hostel with a great backyard. We stayed in a tent so unsure of the rooms but the common areas are kept very clean, there's lots of space and the patio area is perfect for socializing or eating meals. Westport was rainy while we were there so the movie room was great to relax in. 1GB...
