Although a little expensive, we have to rate the quality of meals and customer service as excellent. Grilled salmon and veges, plus prawn masala, promply served with excellent follow up service. Followed up with dessert and coffee and this resuarant is highly recommended.

Sorry can't recommend - the meals are small and I am a small eater. Expensive. If Broken Hill is now having to rely on tourism, local venues need to offer more value for money. Nice look and feel but it stops there.

Have been here before and really enjoyed the experience but we decided to go here for lunch and all three meals were below par, with the lamb cutlets undercooked and mostly fat. Should have stayed home for a toasted sandwich - would have been better.

We chose to eat in the restaurant two out of the three night stay. Tuesday night was very crowded and we chose from the specials menu. Trio of seafood, fish, prawns and soft shell crab on a Vietnamese style salad and twice cooked duck. Both very good and large serves. Thursday night we were the only ones in the restaurant...

Typical old pub accommodation with a modern touch. The rooms are huge and have everything you need to enjoy a comfy stay in BH. Centrally located in the main street. Plenty of eating options either at the Astra in along the main street.

We enjoyed our meal. I had Chicken Schnitzel and my husband had steak and we couldn't complain about the food and generous portions. The staff were really good and very helpful. Compliments to the Chefs too. We also enjoyed Cocktails in the seating area outside the bar. A pleasant ace to spend time.

Was recommended to this place for a meal, well the service started off good, ordered drinks fine, ordered entree fine, ordered main meal not so fine, took over an hour we were starving, they did apologize & we got our entrée for nothing. The quality of the meals was excellent the service a little lack lustre.

For most of the time, it was a wonderful stay and we really couldn’t fault it in any major way. The room itself was comfortable, large and had a level of luxury to it – good as you’d get in a country town in the middle of nowhere. The staff at reception and the restaurants were all very friendly and...

Lived here 25 years ago and there was nothing like this. Beautifully refurbished dining room, friendly service (loved the tats) and superb food. We shared an Atlantic Salmon and a Chicken risotto ( a bit oily) - preceded by three dips that were exquisite. Number 1 in Broken Hill.
