The hotel is in a great location right on the water and short walk to honeysuckle restaurants. Rooms are becoming a little out dated and the breakfast was not bad but just average. Staff were very helpful and always smiling.

The overall atmosphere of the hotel was nice. Staff were friendly, even our room service waiter at 11pm was more than happy to see us. The food delivered is worth a mention. It was aesthetically pleasing, large portion and very tasty. We had the pulled pork pizza and the childrens beef burger. The room layout was functional and bed very...

Dolceguccibella, The team and I thank you for your review and were please to here that our service levels and dining options were to a high standard. We were, however, disappointed to learn that on this occasion we have not provided you with the cleanliness standards that we pride ourselves on. I would really like the opportunity to further investigate...

We stayed in a suite with great views and separate lounge area but only a queen size bed. Staff were on the ball and valet parking was convenient and reasonably priced at $29 per night. We chose this hotel because of the views, and location in the Honeysuckle precinct, which was very quiet on a Monday night with most restaurants...

Stayed here three days for a long weekend. Lovely light and spacious hotel lobby. The corridors on each of the floors are also light and have windows down one side (I hate those long gloomy hotel corridors with no natural light). Most rooms have waterfront views over a working harbour and port and you can watch the big barges come...

Arr-Jimlad, it was a pleasure to host you and your family! Our hotel was architecturally designed to make the most of our light and open position, I'm so glad it assisted in the relaxing feel of your stay. I stayed her for 4 nights in August for business. The hotel is Situated direct on the waterfront with possibility to take beautiful walks/runs just outside. Clean and big rooms and a good valet parking service. I would stay here again.

I was here for a brief overnight trip as I was presenting at a conference in the ballroom downstairs the next day. The service was very friendly from all the staff. The room was nice - the bathroom a little dated and I had a room out the back with a view over the street rather than the port. Of...

Nice hotel in a good location. Apartment style hotel with basic facilities. Clean and fairly modern as you would expect from a crown plaza. Disappointed to find out on check in that it's mandatory valet parking and a cost of $29.00 per night - otherwise street parking. Leaves a bitter taste and the sense of being ripped off. Then the...

Erin O, Guest Experience Manager at Crowne Plaza Newcastle, responded to this review

Greg N, thank you for your honest review - your feedback is much appreciated. Our location in the heart of Newcastle does incur the challenge of offering convenient parking for our guests. In order to have secure parking we have a 24 hour valet service, or as you have pointed out there are other parking options available. I can certainly...

Prompt efficient check-in, spotless room with all you could expect (except a cheap LED TV set with a stretched picture), pleasant view of the Hunter River and docks. The only downside was expensive Wi-Fi, and expensive valet parking (cost not advised in advance). Close to cafes and restaurants (recommend Mason).
