A large variety of clean, well appointed air conditioned period rooms with ensues which would suit most people. Well run & knowledgable host. Off street parking & central to Orange City. Well worth consideration.

I have stayed at Cotehele - the Magistrates House several times and it is the choice of accommodation in Orange. Marie, the owner is friendly, gracious and professional. The heritage house is in lovely condition and the rooms are everything you would expect from a heritage building. The converted stables at the rear are just as comfortable as the rooms...

A White Christmas is a common dream and I had imagined we would need to be in the northern hemisphere to make this dream a reality. How wrong I was! We did our annual Christmas in July with four other couples at Cotehele last weekend. We had great meals at nearby Mary Janes Kitchen on Friday and then Stepping Stone...

Stayed here 3 nights with a group there were 8 of us and we booked out all 6 rooms. The house is a lovely heritage item but with mod cons . I stayed in the Rose Room which is the best room but all are fine. The owner is very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. You can walk to...

I stopped in Orange for one night after lots of travelling by rail all over New South Wales. I turned up on the off chance of a room being available and was shown to a room at the rear of the house opening out on to a charming courtyard. Run by a very friendly owner, the breakfast was excellent although...

I arrived at 'The Magistrates House' with such as excitement as I had heard so much about it from my colleagues. I was not let down. The decor and respect of history was beautiful. I had a room in the stables and didn't mind. My bed was comfy but I didn't fancy the bathroom too much. I liked that I...

What a lovely experience and unexpected gem in the middle of Orange. We were a group who took up 4 of the rooms in this beautiful unspoilt old home. The owner was very friendly and the breakfast was very generous with plenty of fresh fruit and cereal topped off with a lovely cooked breakfast. We stayed in the Rose Room...

I was in Orange for professional reasons, but with family. Cotehele is a charming old house where you feel welcome. The room we got for three was small but well equiped for this kind of guest house (fridge, microwave, kettle) and the bathroom is convenient (the shower and the bath are not independent). The room was equiped with a reversible...

Loved the heritage home, great location can walk anywhere. The owner is lovely and so was were the other staff. Our room was large and clean however we were there in the cooler months and I was cold even with using the heating.Breakfast was lovely and it felt like home without the interruptions. We will stay again but in the warmer months.

What a mixed experience this was. A beautiful old home, nicely appointed and centrally located in the Orange CBD. A short walk to the best restaurants, cafes and pubs. The breakfasts are very generous and very well presented. The owner is very hospitable, a wealth of local information and happy to point you in the right direction for anything you...
