We chose the beautiful Berenbell Vineyard Retreat to hold our secret elopement and we are so thrilled we did. Ken and Suzie went out of their way from the moment we met them and it helped put our minds at complete ease. We cannot thank them enough for allowing us to share the experience with them. They happily took a...

The location of the retreat is superb - very central, close to the best wineries and restaurants, yet is so quiet and peaceful. The property is located in the middle of a quiet lane, with sensational views on vines and mountains. We stayed in cottage #3 and from there you couldn't see other cottages, which also added to the sense...

Views are lovely over Hunter Valley and we were very delighted to see a big kangaroo family right outside our bedroom window at 07:15 this morning. Upon getting my camera from the car outside, there was another lone Kangaroo peering at me until it...

Happily welcomed and greeted by the owners Suzy and Ken after long Friday at work in Sydney. We arrived just on Sunset to see kangaroos relaxing in their front yard. We were shown to our self contained cottage and immediately announced I wasn't going to leave! A beautiful, cosy cottage in a central location to Pokolbin's must see attractions. Regards,...

We stayed at the Berenbell Retreat for 3 nights. The hosts were extremely welcoming, the villa was beautifully appointed and privacy was total. We will definitely be going back. Probably the best stay we have had in the Hunter and we have had a lot!

Berenbell is the perfect place to stay when staying in the hunter. It is within walking distance of some vineyards and restaurants, which is excellent for transport purposes. The location is also picture perfect and central to most attractions. I will definitely stay again when I go back to the hunter!
