The hotel always had a good reputation so perhaps my disappointment was influenced by my expectations. Room size was good but it was just tired and a bit shabby. We stayed in a room at the back of the old house and being on the ground floor it was easy to get in and out. For the money it was...

Exellent stay at this idyllic Hunter Valley former restored convent location. The facilities were just awesome as was the service. Of particular note was the breakfast - a fabulous and quality range of breakfast options available - including a gourmet bacon and eggs option (with natural herbs, tomatoes and zucchini prepared to perfection), Eggs Benedict, Salmon - When you are...

Enjoyed the breakfast and afternoon tea scones, loved the Convent building and tastefully decorated rooms. My only negative comment is there were no 'biscuits' supplied with the tea making facilities, even a cheap motel supply complimentary biscuits.

The Convent in the Hunter Valley is a beautiful retreat. Thanks to John Paul we felt welcome with his professional and friendly service in the restaurant. He engaged well making our experience warm and enjoyable. We saw him again at Breakfast which was first rate, and at Circa 1869 Restaurant near Pepper Tree Cellar Door. A beautiful lunch, fresh oysters...

Stayed at Peppers Convent for a 2 day break . Room lovely with a large soft bed . Enjoyed having a verandah to sit on and enjoy a evening glass of wine. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant very pleasant experience . Staff very attentive and we're happy to tell us the history of the Convent . Very enjoyable...

We purchased a Luxury Escape, the promo promised so much & delivered very little. The drive up to the Convent is stunning, the building itself is beautiful. On entering, to my way of thinking the foyer is not in keeping with the style of the building. There is no indication where to book in. The receptionist was friendly. Our room...

Peppers Convent is a wonderful old building that is beautifully furnished with period furnishing. It is ideally located in the centre of the Hunter Valley with the Pepper Tree Winery right on its door step. Our room was on the first floor at the front and we had a view across the fountain and down the long driveway. The huge...

I took my hubby for High Tea for his birthday recently. He loves his High Tea's... as do I. You get to have a bit of everything but in small portions. When you look at what you get, you think there's not much and your going to go hungry!! Well I can tell you, you definitely don't go hungry!! In...

Stayed here a few times over the years and it is always lovely. The property is beautiful and the rooms beautifully appointed. We were a bit disappointed not to be staying in the main building when we arrived and were told we'd been upgraded, but the room we had in the new building was big and really lovely so no...

We booked in for a two night, 'Luxury Escape' package. There is nothing luxurious about this tired and unwelcoming establishment. From the front it looked inviting - but that is where it ended. The lady at reception was most unfriendly. You were not invited to sit down and register, nor were any pleasantries exchanged. Just sign here and give me...
