We arrived within time to visit some wineries and dinner at the restaurant at the Resort before attending the lights in the gardens. As we had purchased ticketts for the lights, we had a complimentary pre-dinner drink PLUS a promotional two for one cost for 2 or 3 course dinner. The Soft shell crab was the best my husband had...

The Hunter Valley Gardens has country comfort and style, a dedicated, friendly staff and a great location within walking distance to several vineyards. The décor is very welcoming and the amenities clean and refurbished. We attended a Day on the Green at Bimbadgen Winery and this hotel is a must for weekend visitors. The restaurant also offers superior food at...

Stayed on 11th and 12th of February 2017 and paid $780 for two nights for two single beds in the same 'Superior' room. Very unhappy with the price as it was more motel-style rather than resort-style accommodation. Standard of the room as pictured on their website was very different to the reality. Staff were amazing and were one of the...

We stayed here on the 10th and 11th of February 2017. The staff were lovely, the hotel was clean and the restaurant was very nice. There is a good selection for breakfast and we found the position of the hotel in relation to everything else in the Hunter Valley to be excellent. It was an extremely hot weekend - around...

Stayed here while passing through to Sydney for business. Advised the hotel that we would be arriving late and required a dinner reservation at the restaurant. Staff called to confirm the late reservation time could be accomdated (Thanks!). Friendly staff encountered at check-in and at the bar / restaurants and in the grounds. Meals were great and the location very...

Stayed 2 nights for a friends wedding the brides mother inlaw paid the Friday night payment, all parties fixed her up well before the day. I paid for the second night on my card. We are sorry for the confusion with payment but as you are aware we did not over charge you on purpose on checkout all guests gave us the wrong rooms numbers instead of the rooms they were originally allocated once this was cleared up with each guest the problem was fixed. Once again sorry for the confusion. Nicole S, Manager.

The first room we were allocated had lots of things wrong with it - it was dirty, the wifi didn't work, one of the taps was broken AND it was really small for the money we were paying. Fortunately we were moved to a much bigger suite, with a nicer view of the gardens (still not properly clean though!). The...

I stayed at the Hunter Valley Gardens last weekend with my Bridal Party we booked 4 rooms over 2 nights, spent quite a bit of money there. The reservation process and the service desk interactions were very incompetent. One of our guests were charged twice, we were charged for breakfast when it was included and I had to be ungraded...

My wife and I stayed here to check the hunter valley out for our future wedding. We absolutely loved the Mercure, and wish we stayed there for our wedding only to be majorly disappointed by Harrigan's (which we had free accommodation included with our wedding). I would like to say anyone who plans to visit the Hunter Valley Gardens or...

My husband and I decided that we would visit the Hunter Valley for the first time with our 3 children for New Year's Eve and see the famous Hunter Garden Lights, we chose to stay at the Mercure Resort because of it's location as well as the high ratings it received.
