We loved staying at the Tonic. Secluded, quiet, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset over the dams. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Watched movies in front of an open fire in the common room. Walked up (1.2km) to Liliano`s for dinner in the moonlight for an entertaining evening with Luigi and his gorgeous dogs. Lots...

There is something really unique about this hotel. The owners couldn't have been more helpful with incredible recommendations on where to eat and drink. They made all 6 of us feel incredibly welcome It is like having your own personal getaway. Wake up looking over the valley. Incredibly peaceful and private. Cant express how beautiful and peaceful our stay was. The small touches were much appreciated, like the yummy breakfast options already in the fridge and the text saying my newspaper was at my door for me. The host's were most gracious and helpful offering local advice if needed. If you want a big comfortable bed and not to be disturbed...

We had booked to stay in the studio room however Ian & Janelle very kindly upgraded us to the 2 bd self contained room as we were staying 4 nights mid week. The room was quirky, modern & clean with gorgeous views over the rolling landscape. We were pleasantly surprised that the fridge was full of all sorts of goodies...

My boyfriend and I stated at the Tonic, from a friend referral, and it was great! The owners are very accommodating and laid back (which was our experience with almost everyone in Australia!). The rooms are cozy and the view from the patio is beautiful! We had kangaroo's right in front of our patio in the morning and the sounds...

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment recently and had an exceptional weekend. Ian and Janelle are fantastic hosts: very generous and delicious breakfast provisions in our fridge, friendly helpful suggestions for wineries and restaurants, and a welcoming dog-friendly policy which was great for our elderly golden retriever! The big verandah overlooking dams and paddocks is really idyllic. Beds and...

We stayed in one of the suites for a weekend in November 2012, and it was great. When we arrived at dusk the frogs and other animals were making a chorus, very tropical. The setting is very beautiful, and the house we stayed in was designed in a minimalist but cool and comfortable way. We were looked after well but...

WoW!! Just fantastic. The rooms were gorgeous, clean and practical. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The view across the dam, vines and mountains lovely. The breakfast left in the fridge was perfect (Janelles museli is to die for!). Ian and Janelle are great hosts, welcoming but not intrusive. The lounge has a communal area where you use an...

We were very impressed with Tonic. Upon entering our room (more like a cabin), we were met with a personalised welcome message, a clean, modern, fresh and funky room and a generous cheeseplatter! Ian was so attentive and helpful and the complementary brekkie was a treat! Tonic is private and perfect for couples or groups of friends. We highly recommend...

Tonic is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful location. The facilities are superb and the view sensational. The best thing however, was the hospitality of host Ian. He could not have made us more welcome, from meeting our bus with a glass of wine when we returned from a concert to taking us out to dinner, Ian was warm, friendly...

“When arriving don't get too scared about looking at the place. When looking at the doors it looked so small. But as soon as you open the door walk past the kitchenette it opens up. :-) Excellent place to stay.”
