Alice's Cottages were a wonderful surprise. A series of restored workers cottages, full of antiques, old books, and the ambience of old Tasmania in a modern setting. Our Cottage the Welsh Cottage was as the name says given a Welsh theme. The rooms whilst a bit small had all you needed, and the bathroom had a big spa in it... More

My stay at Alice's was just amazing. It really is unlike any other place I have stayed before. The location firstly is prime as it is just a few minutes away from the city. There are so many options when it comes to choosing cottages, and I couldn't go past the Aphrodite cottage. The house is very large and very... More

Such a delightful place to stay. Every need is either predicted or catered for. Lovely breakfast left in fridge. Drinks for purchase if you do not wish to venture out. Luxurious spa, four-poster bed, open fire and a very quiet location make for a peaceful, pleasant stay. Owners are friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again. Highly recommend... More

Stayed at their 2-bedroom Bonnie Doon cottage for 2 nights. Decor inside was lovely and reminds us very much of an English cottage, full of antiques and very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with enough crockeries and cutleries for 3 meals so we only need to load the dishwasher once a day. They also provide a very generous amount and... More

These cottages are a comfortable step back into yesteryear. Providing all the luxuries of a spa bath, four poster bed and a fireplace, it's also an obvious labour of love restoring these old meatworkers cottages and decorating them appropriate to the era. We stayed in the Welsh cottage and everywhere I looked was another interesting detail or item in keeping... More

Alice's Cottages are the result of a lot of hard work restoring old meat workers cottages and decorating them in style from bygone days. However the cottages still have the modern comforts and are an excellent accommodation option when staying in Launceston. The location is reasonably close to the main shopping hub but in a quiet spot. We stayed in... More

This is our third stay in these cottages. We have just arrived back from 9 days staying in the beautiful irish cottage. A charming cosy warm workers cottage with four poster bed, spa and fireplace. We will definitely stay again and love sharing a fireplace with the local resident cats.

Comfortable cottages, only a short walk in the CBD. Well appointed and delightfully quirky. The fires are sensational and you can cook your own toast on a fork. Bathrooms are well equipped including oils and soaps for the spa Don't forget to sample the port and chocolates
