I often travel to Tasmania for work and Edenholme Grange makes a lovely change after staying in sterile, modern hotels. The period decor is full of character and overall my stays there are always relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful gardens surround the buildings contributing to its charm. I also find that I sleep better compared to a hotel as the beds... More

Very beautiful family home set up, history rich felt like a step back in time which made for a great change of the usual! Owners very friendly and helpful. The homestead had excellent views of Launceston. They do offer a 10% off meals at the local Irish pub which were very nice. If you enjoy history and or want something... More

Edenholme is a very grand place, but, very disappointing and very expensive, I always thought that when a place says it's a B& B, it included Bed and Breakfast, not here, for the same price for one night here we could have stayed somewhere else for 2 nights that included breakfast. Paul was a very nice host, but, the hotel... More

We arrived after hours on a stormy night without a booking and were well looked after by the owner Paul. We stayed in the Victorian spa room upstairs and were impressed by the obvious care that the owners have put into this unique property. The house is beautiful and located on a hill right by the centre of the city... More

We stayed in the cottage . We found the approach to the cottage untidy , flagstone path dangerous . The cottage was clean , the beds very comfortable . Plenty of heaters to keep warm . The cottage needs lots of work around windows , blinds filthy , not working properly . There was a sugar bowl so filthy with... More

We weren't aware it was a stay-in home when we booked but this wasn't a bad thing! The owners are lovely and kind and keep out of sight and made us feel like we owned the place! We stayed in the Captain's Room which has a gorgeous spa in the bedroom and great views over Launceston. The Kind Bed is... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my evening in beautiful accommodation. Paul was a fantastic host. Nothing was too much trouble for Paul. He went out of his way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Paul.

The hotel occupies a lovely old building that has an interesting past, situated in a good spot with a prime view. The conversion to a hotel has been done with fond creativity and the result is a little eccentric at times, but the result is pleasing. We had the Victoria room. The bed was a king size 4 poster. The... More

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and had such a beautiful time. We were greeted by the friendly host, Paul, and stayed in an upstairs room, The Victoria room. It had a beautiful king size four poster bed, with a double spa and great views of the city. We loved the antiques (especially my husband who is... More

“Depends in what you are looking for? We wanted a four post bed. Paul let us look at the other rooms, Any would be great. Our room was off the side, but entered into the dining room; if you have trouble with stairs and steps, avoid it, and shower over the bath. However the closed in Varandah was nice. Remember, its an old house, be prepared for imperfections, after 132 yrs its still standing! Ask Paul of its history.”

“If you prefer modern impersonal hotel rooms with no character DO NOt STAY HERE. It is a very old house therefore has the character and nuances of a heritage property. Eg Creaky floors, creaky beds.”
