Beautiful historic home with tall pressed ceilings and spacious rooms. Alas, that's where the positives end. It was cold and musty. Layers of sticky grime everywhere. The kids refused to use the toilet as there were huge cobwebs and filth there. As others have mentioned, the beds are hard! The coffee sachets in the kitchen are 2 years beyond their...

Yes, it's in a convenient spot but that's where the benefits end. An historic building that could be fitted out fantastically but alas a hard cheap bed, sofa in lounge grungy, tv that went from colou to black and white consitently, layers of dust on the skirting boards. I know we stayed the long weekend and prices go up but...

Easily the HARDEST and MOST UNCOMFORTABLE bed I have EVER slept in. Woke up with a terrible headache, sore neck, back and shoulders. No way would I stay here again because of that. Otherwise, lovely old mansion, good rooms with all the facilities you need. Great location and nice gardens. Reasonably quiet. No remote control for television which really sucked...

The location of this mansion is excellent. The theory behind the serviced apartments is a great one, however it is just lacking that extra bit of service that it needs. The apartment is nice, but it is not much more than that. The 2nd bedroom is essentially a room built into the veranda and was FREEZING!!!! We ended up having...

It is easily cleaned but needs professionals to do this job. 2 Heating was less than good, relise it is an old house with high ceilings but there is some great products on the market that more eficient than...

Bifrons is an amazing place to stay, close to the city, close to a lovely park, close to a supermarket and bottle shop which came in handy as the apartment also had simple kitchen and laundry facilities. The place was spacious and spotlessly clean. We went to Tassie to relax and chillout and Bifrons was the perfect place to do...

What a little treasure! Actually it is very big as it was once a mansion now split into 5 serviced apartments. For $170 for 3 adults we had so much room, it is very central to CBD, just a short stroll down the hill to the park in the centre of Launceston, sweeping views over the surrounding town and countryside....

One of the stops on our trip around Tasmania was Launceston. I wanted somewhere that was not a hotel and hopefully came equipped with some basic facilities. What I stumbled upon was terrific! Bifrons House sits of 3/4 of an acre of grounds only 1klm from the Launceston CBD. The building (as the name suggests) has historical significance and was...
