Very convenient to the city, about 10 mins walk from city and few mins from Cataract Gorge. Rooms nice and big, writing desk, fridge, kettle, and large bathroom with bath. Linen really lovely. Also a lift. This is an old building with verandah that everyone can use, lovely to have an evening drink watching the lights of Launceston come on....

We (family of 3) stayed for one night. We found this place by accident, but were most impressed. Beautiful rooms and massive bathroom with great city views, and a massive balcony to view it from. James was very friendly and gave great tips for dinner. Free parking is always an added bonus and the mini-bar was well stocked. A great...

My family stayed at Auldington for one night during our stay in Launceston. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and also recommended restaurants for dinner. The Auldington was previously a convent which has been converted to guest accommodation. There is a nice feeling when walking through the corridors and it feels like you have stepped back into...

The large clean rooms , very helpful happy staff made this a very easy stay in Launceston.. It's Central to everything...easy for tour guides to find and not far a walk to be collected by shuttle to the airport... This use to be a convent so it has old world charm,

I stayed in the city view room at the corner on the first floor. The room was very bright and had a very good view of the city with private balcony. The rooms were not as spacious as other 4-5 star hotels, but comfortable. I highly recommend this room. Other members of my family stay in the room next door....

What a great place for a Launceston stay! Large, comfortable room with a big bed close to the centre of the city. Friendly hosts were interested but not intrusive and willing to share recommendations for dining. Had a great auld time!

This is a nice comfortable hotel with a bare minimum of fuss and extras. The rooms are old, but renovated tastefully and has a nice classic charm to it, it was built in the 1800's after all. Guests considering this hotel must be aware that it is really just made up of rooms and a reception, and aside from breakfast...

It was a nice treat to stay in a historic building that was different to the usual boring motel. Very nicely decorated and clean. Walls are a bit thin and we could hear people walking around in the room above us, but otherwise a lovely stays dry nice lookout over the city. Good location close to everything

What a delightful setting, building was a nuns home once upon a time. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Close enough to city centre, many restaurants nearby. Nothing nearby in the way of convenience stores, so buy what you need whilst out & about. Overall a pleasant place to stay.

I chose the Auldington because it was quite central and looked a lovely old building. It was easy to find from the highway from Hobart and the welcome was genuinely friendly. The real surprise was my room, which was beautifully styled in contemporary decor, with a lovely modern bathroom complete with bath and separate walk-in shower cubicle. The contrast with...
