Stayed there for a three nights just a few days ago. This is a very handy park close to all the shops, you could walk there without a problem. The amenities were slightly dated but nice and clean and with lots of light. There was slab or grassed sites, we opted for the slab and were lucky that we could...

Just spent a few days and nights in Bairnsdale, staying at Riverside Holiday Park and, as always, a great park to be in. Good service at reception, good site for caravan, and would not hesitate to return another time. And would recommend highly.

We stayed here over the Easter break and was very happy with the park. It's so central to everything being the shops, supermarket, restaurants, antiques shops, parks, river and you can fish at the pier on the caravan park itself. The amenities were always cleaned daily and the camp kitchen has a big fridge for all to use with chairs...

Stayed one night in a swag on an umpowered site, price was fair. Facilities were in good condition and clean. Located on the Mitchell river with a walking trail so nice veiws. Across the highway is an enormous playground, so good for the family. The big problem is the highway. If you are a light sleeper forget about it. Every...

Thanks for staying with us, we greatly appreciate feedback of all kinds. We are glad you enjoyed the great facilities. Unfortunately Bairnsdale River Holiday Park can do little to mitigate the noise from trucks on the highway, however noise is greatly minimised when staying in a cabin. Thank you again for your review. Linda - Customer Communications

Been going to this park a long time. Lately it has not been the best. Ladies toilet leaking making for a very slippery floor, dangerous. Men's showers only two working. All showers limited hit water. Not enough crockery in the cabins. Disappointed with the bookings. Selected sites as a few going. When we get there all our sites changed, not...

Stayed in a cabin for 5 nights. It's wasn't very big but it was adequate enough for just me. The kitchen was equipped "ok" though I would have liked a bigger saucepan. I did kind if wonder how a family of 4 or 5 would be able to cook with just two tiny saucepans, though I'm sure you could go...

The location of this park is fantastic. Easy walk into town. Was disappointed with our cabin. Really needs a makeover. Needs a new aircon and a paint . The bed was very clean and comfy. Just a shame about the state of the cabin. All that said it is a lovely park.

Stayed for two nights in the park on our through in our caravan. Really clean and tidy park. Not busy at all. Amenities were super clean and the pool was delightful. Lovely 5km loop walk along the river. Close to town and even though on main road, not affected by noise at all.

Very nice owners when checking in. Had an unpowered site for the night. Very nice ammenities block, and clean which was a suprise given how busy the place was. Great shower! Beautiful location next to the river. only downside was the sound of the trucks using engine brakes, which was about 50m from the tent.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located on the banks of the Mitchell River at the eastern end of Bairndsale's busy shopping centre, Bairnsdale Riverside Holiday Park (formerly Mitchell Gardens Holiday Park) boasts one of the prettiest Parks in the district, well appointed and relaxing. Enjoy a morning stroll or cycle along the picturesque track that runs through the park along the boardwalk to the Port of Bairnsdale, then on to the Lind Bridge and return across the swing bridge over the Backwater at Howitt Park (a round trip of approx 5.4 km). Or take the nearby East Gippsland Rail Trail - as a designated "Rail Trail" it is ideal for cycling or walking. It wends its way through the towns of Nicholson, Sarsfield and Bruthen and extends as far as Orbost in the east. Motorcyclists and motorists will find this the perfect base to enjoy the array of excellent touring routes, whether into the mountains to Dargo, Omeo or Buchan, or exploring the many coastal towns such as Paynesville, Metung and Lakes Entrance. Why not leave the car at Barinsdale Riverside Holiday Park - we are just a short 500 metres stroll to Howett Park Play Ground, BMX Track, Boat ramp and skate park and a few minutes to the Bairnsdale CBD.
