Researching Bendigo motels, we opted for the unusually named Welcome Stranger Motel. Its website listed basic rooms at $140 a night – a bit expensive for a Budget motel. However, when inquiring the price of $110 was offered. I wondered how many potential guests were dissuaded from booking by the high price. With the help of the GPS we found...

No complaints regarding room or surroundings. Unfortunately, staff unavailable at advertised office open hours twice during our overnight stay - in the evening and next morning. When he eventually made contact (to our mobile phone when it was too late), he was extremely rude and hung up on me. Bad form for someone in the hospitality business.

We paid $120 for the upgraded room, well worth it, first time here and would happily come back midweek. It was very quiet and the room was comfy and clean, the building had some very nice touches which added to the atmosphere of a nice room. Lovely shower, over all aside from not having breakfast options I couldn't fault the...

Spotless room, spotless ensuite. Great value for money, quiet location , just off main Hwy. didnt know of this location . Easy parking, especially if you have a trailer or horse float, plenty of turning room at the rear.

Photos on website show renovated rooms. Family rooms not yet renovated very old, that I can deal with but unfortunately bed extremely uncomfortable & had terrible nights sleep. Didn't even want to use shower. One nights stay too expensive & uncomfortable. Lady at reception was not owner she was very nice. I do not recommend at all!!!

Really comfortable, prestige rooms. White and fresh - obviously newly refreshed. Wi fi difficult to connect at times. But this motel is a definitely a good recommendation at the price. Management impressed as efficient but not too involved.

Wanting to see the Marilyn Monroe exhibition, I decided to take a 4-day mini break in Bendigo. I chose this motel because of its reasonable rates and closeness to the centre of town, but hadn't realised how close it is to the Bendigo Creek cycling path, which was a real bonus. This track takes you a few kilometers north or...

Not ultra modern but spotlessly clean and refurbished inside. Was given an upgrade to deluxe room which for a motel was spacious and had gorgeous vaulted ceiling.Room was very well appointed and contained all the extras to enhance your stay.
