Came into Echuca late Saturday afternoon and hadn't pre booked. Campaspe lodge came up on websites for $100 in their hotel accommodation. Not for everyone but charmed by the spacious and spotless accommodation above the hotel. Underneath is the vibrant bistro/bar/beer garden area with good pub meals and on the Main Street . Good value.

You have to be careful when booking this place. The new 2 storey section is at least 4 star (have stayed there before), but the old single storey section is 2 to 3 at best. The walls are paper thin and the noise transfer is terrible, including the next room clearly having sex (really great for young kids - NOT!)....

We stayed here on Saturday night , after an accidental booking online here for the wrong date, and it was no cancellation. But thankfully, when we rang up and explained the situation they said they would be able to move the date for us to a more suitable date when we could come up there. The location is brilliant, right...

Fantastic location, plenty of amenities, pleasant staff, a beautiful quite setting on the river, really relaxing. Ample parking. Only negative is the excessive protection of the mattress', was like sleeping with an electric blanket set on high.

Just spent 2 nights at the Echuca Hotel, Would highly recommend this place. Fantastic location, right near the river and in the heart of high street, surrounded by things to do and see. Meals at the hotel were beautiful. Room was comfortable and CLEAN!

Had a great stay at Campaspe Lodge. Comfortable and clean hotel that is self contained if you are looking for that sort of thing. Bistro at the Echuca Hotel served good meals if you don't want to take advantage of the many restaurants around Echuca. Ideally situated for visiting the historic port. Friendly and helpful staff!!

Best place to stay and have breakfast @ Wisteria next to the open fireplace. Best way to see everything is by walking which you wouldnt see in the car. You can drive over the border into NSW go to the Sunday market to Moama & drive back into Victoria

Great location. Its Clean. Comfy beds In terms of amenities: They provide you with 100ml of Milk. There is cofffee/ tea supplied in the room. Plus shampoo/conditioner. Also washing liquid. Thought this was handy. Only negative is the noise. We stayed on the 2nd floor, on the corner. You could hear people & cars coming and going from the carpark....

We checked in the afternoon to find that the room was very small with a kitchenette. I was under the impression that we had booked a room with a self contained kitchen. This may have been my mistake as l booked on line, where as from now on l will contact the hotel first to check on this. The bathroom...
