Enjoyed our stay in one of the 6 cottages in the bushland surroundings on the edge of Lakes Entrance. Spacious cottages and good facilities including a pool and BBQ available to guests. The Lakes Entrance township and surrounding areas offered plenty of enjoyable options, including golf, boat cruises and places to eat.

On arrival the land lady was extremely friendly to new guests and was very accommodating. The accommodation is exceptional and the facilities and amenities just makes the stay even better. We couldn't swim in the cold pool but enjoy some time in their spa which was warm and made the experience even better. Definitely will be staying here again if...

Arrived here on a road trip and stopped for 3 nights, found the whole stay excellent. I can't for any reason find why previous visitors moan!! What part of self catering don't they understand?? Anyway moving on the cottage was great comfortable, cosy, etc etc. Location was fine just a few minutes from shops and requirements, a couple of nights we...

Firstly let me see I am stunned to see another reviewer complain at the absence of breakfast despite there being a large lettered notice at the entrance stating 'self catering' cottages. If he was disappointed the argument is with his travel agent not the supplier. Despite this, I think the reviewer was being a little churlish in that there was...

Our UK travel agency had booked this cottage for us on a B&B basis as one of our stops as we travelled btween Sydney and Adelaide. Our experience started off when we arrived at reception to find no-one there. Checking in forms had been printed off and left on the counter to complete, with an instruction for those who hadn't...

We were disappointed overall - the breakfast; which was just a couple pieces of bread, a couple,of small boxes of cereal, instant coffee and juice boxes. You will be about a 10 minute drive to town - we took a cab one night and it was $15 each way. The owners/managers were not visible to check on us or to...

Really glad we stayed here. It's a very spacious cottage with separate bedroom, large bathroom and enormous lounge/diner with separate kitchen off. The cottage included fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities and a breakfast pack (even though described as self catering). Very clean, communal heated swimming pool, hot tub/ spa. It's in a beautiful Rural location on the edge of...

Stayed 2 nights on our road trip from Melbourne to Sydney. Wished we had more time here as it's beautiful. The location is stunning, although slightly out of town and you need a car to get back and forward. The cottage is very well appointed with a large living, dining, kitchen area with all mod cons. Lovely bedroom and large...

Thank you for taking the time to write this thoughtful review which I think will help future travellers understand what we offer our guests. We are very proud of our self contained cottages and the leafy setting so it is terrific to read a "fabulous" review - we love that you enjoyed what we work so hard to provide.

We stopped here overnight on our drive from Melbourne ultimately to Sydney. Lakes Entrance itself had not really impressed us on arrival, and the less than positive mood that this had engendered persisted here. Yes the 'chalet' was spacious and comfortable enough, but there were rather too many "dos and don'ts" for the class of accommodation that we had been...

Grumps DC - I think all of us who travel have our favourite places and an overnight stop does not always give the best chance to get to know a town or the people in it. Our cottages are self catering, continental provisions provided are complimentary start up provisions and guests can, and often do, ask to have full breakfast...

My children and I loved saying at Waverley house cottage. From the moment we arrive we felt welcome and at peace. Our cunninghame cottage was beautiful, with our hosts Jan and rob even providing a continental breakfast for the next day. The location of the cottages is perfect, just minutes away from the town of lakes entrance. My girls loved...

Thank you Alison - it was a pleasure to be your host and hear the happy laughter coming from the pool. We also appreciated the lovely poem and drawings left in the cottage guestbook. My hardworking staff also love it when they come into a cottage to find these appreciative comments and the cottage facilities left as you would hope...

“Tips: bring your own milk, coffee, bread, butter, spray oil -for pans- and more toilet paper as they only provided two rolls for a family of 3 for our stay. There isn't an oven, so don't buy a roast, or anything else you need to use an oven for. But the rest of the kitchen (stovetop -electric- microwave, toaster and kettle is in perfect working order, and there is enough pots and pans and utensils for you to cook plenty of other things with). The heating/cooling system is great! Being winter, we used the heating and it heated the whole cottage fine. The beds have electric blankets on them and there are extra blankets in the cupboards.”
