We stayed at Coastal Waters for one night in their Queen Spa Suite. It was a last minute decision as we decided to break up our journey and relax for the evening. What a great decision! This place was so clean, smelled fresh and beautiful, and was homely and comfortable, with a comfy bed that was perfect. These people clearly strive to ensure their guests have a good stay with the personal touches and extra care they clearly put into the presentation and upkeep! They are really friendly too. We wish more places were as clean and lovely as this! I can’t wait to visit again. 10/10!!

When I drive down to Melbourne, I go out of my way to come here. I enjoy stopping at Lakes Entrance, and Coastal Waters Motor Inn (which was originally a Best Western) always offers comfortable clean rooms. I have various health issues, so the comfy beds in the room are important for me: especially if I've spent 7+ hours in the car. Also, the owners are lovely and ready to offer advice about the area. The other important thing to note is that since this place stopped being a Best Western it's also significantly cheaper. And by significantly, I mean upwards of $100/night cheaper. But the quality hasn't changed. The Motor Inn is across from the water so you can walk along the beach and the sunset and sunrise are beautiful to watch. It's always walking distance to a great Fish and Chip shop, Woolies, a couple of bottle-Os and a few good bookshops. Driving out of Lakes Entrance to Melbourne (as well as coming the other way) is such a lovely drive, and far more enjoyable than the long straight tedium of the highway/motorway.

Ideally located across the road from the water and a coastal walkway, it is a short stroll to shops and eateries. Spotlessly clean, this lovely motel has everything you need and more. Comfortable bedding, a separate toilet, luxurious leather recliners, a bbq …the list goes on. Excellent value!

We had an excellent stay, Tracy & Michael were very friendly hosts. The room was fantastic, clean and in A1 condition. Awesome, we'll be back. The king bed was super good and so we slept well. It will be good to go when it's hot to try their BBQ and pool

Tracy and Michael obviously take great pride in their Motel. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable and has lovely touches that make it feel like a 5 star hotel. It’s great to be able to book directly with a family run business.

Immaculately clean, gorgeous gardens, really comfy beds, and lovely people. Located across the road from the inlet and a great walking path. We will definitely stay here again when we are back at Lakes Entrance.

Great first impression, the very friendly owner walked us to our room, which was a nice touch. He was very accomodating with requests and information. Nice room, nicer than in photos - spacious, bright, nice decor, very clean. Minibar items and room service breakfast available, things you don’t expect in a motel. Attractive, well maintained grounds. We were here for just one night, wish we could have stayed longer. The two loungers facing the TV were so comfortable, I never wanted to leave! The mattress was firm but comfortable. In the bathroom, the shower had great pressure and a fan that worked (the mirror didn’t fog up!). The only negative is that, although I don’t take particularly long showers, the water was lukewarm when I finished. Not nice for my husband who went after me. The motel was not even full so I imagine this could be an issue. But otherwise our stay couldn't have been better.

As motels go this one is BRILLIANT. It all started with a very Friendly welcome, then shown to our room, a quick tour of the room and facilities. What struck me first was how clean the room was. The decor was very tastefully done, great thought to presentation The room was well appointed and the fridge stocked with fresh milk and a nice mini bar The kitchenette had a toaster kettle and plenty of crockery and cutlery all well presented and clean The bathroom was huge with a great shower, a GREAT shower!!!!! Our hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay This place is certainly the best motel I have stayed in for a very long time and really has set a new bench mark for me. Thank you Michael and Tracey for your wonderful hospitality!!!!!!!
