There's only one way of describing this place - a Zoo! The conditions are very poor with tiny dorms that are far from clean. The communal toilets are worse than public toilets you would find on the street, shocking, the light doesn't even work. The living area has garden furniture that is very very uncomfortable to sit on. The hostel...

Owner is a madman, there's no work in this hostel as all the local growers hate the guy and how he does business. Rent day is weds and payday is Thurs, go figure. You'll struggle to make rent here for sure. Abysmal working hostel. Conditions are shabby, overcrowded and extremely disorganised. Your working holiday will come crashing to a halt...

"Asparagus work will start very soon" This was what I was told throughout my three week stay at Oasis. I am aware that farm work is weather dependent and is based upon a call from the farmer requesting workers. However in my case, and also many other girls in this hostel, we were not informed of this, thus resulting in...

Arrived here as my first port of call in trying to get days towards my second year visa. Everything here was so so. Good location near to town and to fast food places which will feel like a fancy 5 star meal after a long days work. However, the price for what you get is not great, there are jobs...

Stay clear of this hostel, they advertise that they have lots of jobs going and seem friendly on the phone however this changes very quickly. Some people get lucky and get on a farm with a good boss but for everyone else it's working a few days on a job every so often and just being able to pay rent...

Don't stay here! They give you enough days work to pay next weeks rent and that's all they care about! I worked 8 hours in a field lifting and cleaning pumpkins and got $50 (£25) if your looking for days for your second years visa I wouldn't recommend it! Mildura is a nice place it's a shame oasis is in...

You'll see the website offering jobs a plenty. Even call and email and you'll feel like you'll walk straight into a good job as soon as you arrive. Well in most cases that wont be the case. You might get lucky like me and pick up some contract worth stripping vines for 25c a tree. Yes I was one of...
