Very nice hostel with friendly staff and a good place to meet people. I stayed here for 3 weeks already and there are many people who also stay for a longer period but it is also fine for if you are traveling around and want to see places in st kilda. Kitchen gets cleaned 3 times a day and the...

Hometravellers is just the best hostel I have stayed in during my travels so far! The staff is awesome and always good for a joke, the location is really close to the beach and it's easy to reach the city which tops everything up. The hostel itself is really clean and offers an equipped kitchen, tv room, table tennis and...

I stayed here for long stays (3 months) and short stays (a week). The staff were great. Patience of saints. They were so tolerant of all the types of people that come together in places like this and really tried to make sure the place was enjoyed by all. Some nights it was loud, sure but its a hostel. Many...

Stayed here two nights as we were just passing through st kilda and would highly recommend this place for short/long term. Rooms/beds were clean and there are always staff at hand to help with anything. Kitchen is good and there's a DVD room to kick back in. There's pretty much something on every night so it's easy to meet people...

We are a backpacking couple that arrived in Melbourne looking to settle down and work for a few months. We found home travellers motel in st kilda after enquiring at base hostel which was far too overpriced and just down the road. Home travellers is a cosy, informal and chilled out hostel that has good communal areas and a great...

Home Travellers is a small sized Hostel which I loved because it has a familial and personal aspect. I spent 5 months living there and felt like it was my home. There are a lot of outside areas for those who like that, but also cozy tv room/kitchen or you can go to the reception where the guys working there...

I stayed here for 3 months and loved it. The majority of people there were long termers as they all worked in and about Melbourne doing various jobs. Everyone got on really well and it felt like a big family, was a sad day when I had to leave. The staff (Alex joe and dave) were great, always up for...

“Given people leave their belongings lying around on the floor hence it's a messy shared room, the double's the solution & the t.v might actually work in a private room with your own neat & clean bathroom!(The towel on the floor 7 the water on the floor wasn't good & items in the shower which looked unclean & likely to cause accidents re open razors lying on the shower recess!).”
