My friends and I had such a restless night. The room stinks. Toilet stinks. My blanket (although it smells like it's just been washed, had blood stains!) From the start we had problems checking in. We were so tired from the sightseeing tours and it took us ages before we can actually get into our room. The sofas in the...

The room was soooo hot!! You couldn't lock the bathroom. The soap dispenser in the bathroom didn't work, and when I bought my own soap the cleaning staff threw it away... no space in the kitchen, so didn't even bother to try to cock there.. otherwise it was ok...

Hi Anita, Thank you for your review, your input is very valuable to ensure we can make our hostel as good as possible. Its a constant battle in the warmer weather to keep the rooms at a cool temperature. We are currently changing the kitchen to provide more room and make it more accessible for our guests. I hope that...

Very large hostel not particularly personal, met some lovely people but also quite cliquey. Facilities were ok - large kitchen and good rooftop, the new bathrooms were nice. Average rooms though light/plug socket/curtain useful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi only 7-7 and slow!

Hi thanks for your review, I'm happy you enjoyed our great new pod beds and our facilities. We are constantly trying to achieve a better standard and I am looking into improving our rooms in the coming months. I look forward to having you back to see these improvements and wish you a very safe onward journey.

The hostel has a good atmosphere. The roof area is sociable, and the curtains and plugs on each bed are definitely a plus. I love old buildings and the Edwardian features give the hostel a nice twist. However a lot of the rooms are dark and dingy , because of the way they are laid out. I asked to move...

The rooms are so dirty, stinks and bad customer service I couldn't find my bed(which is which) the way it was so messy (bedsheets are dirty) I complain to the receptionist but she was so rude to the point I had to go out and find a better place to sleep

Hi Maria, Thanks for your review. Can I ask who you spoke to on reception? All our laundry is done in house and we have a dedicated team that focus on laundry only, so the fact that the sheets where dirty really surprises me! We take cleanliness very seriously here at Nomads St Kilda Beach. We are a new management...

Poor organisation amongst staff leading to a number of mishaps and disagreements, kitchen constantly busy and dirty especially in the morning after people had been cooking after drinking generally unappealing "party party" atmosphere without there actually being a party would not return

Hey Tom, Thanks so much for your review. We are stoked you took the time out to give us some feedback. I didn't hear of any mishaps or disagreements, did at any point you ask to speak to the manager? The business of the kitchen is something that we can not help I'm afraid. However we are doing massive renovations...

The hostel is in a great spot and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and modern and give you a sense of privacy. The rooms were pretty crowded, the 12 man room I stayed in had a load of long termers, who were not the neatest or cleanest people. The bathrooms need some serious improvement...

I was prepared for a run down hostel dorm room when I arrived here, but I wasn't quite prepared for the filth that greeted me when I walked into my room after having checked in. It was $35 each for a 8 bed dorm or $70 for a double room so we went for the double room thinking it would be quite nice but we were wrong! From the start we had problems checking in and having to carry our bags up down up down as the key didn't work in the door! The whole...

Your review is appreciated thank you for taking the time to publish it. We have installed new state of the art door locks on all of our doors so it comes as a surprise to me that the key cards malfunctioned in this instance.
