I'm not usually one to leave a review on a hostel but after the manager asked me 'Id appreciate it if you told me about your experience on trip advisor' I thought i should! So, I was in town for a gig in St Kilda for one night travelling from Shepparton. I checked in at the hostel and they were...

The hostel is located close to the beach which is good and is within close proximity to transport. The hostel itself has a good vibe and most of the staff are helpful and friendly. The kitchen area was relatively unclean and small though so cooling can be hard at busy times. The renovated bathrooms are good although both showers I...

Stayed here for 2 nights while in St kilda, reception staff on check-in were really rude. The room smelt bad. I couldn't sleep as people were in and out all night and work men start work at 8am next door. This is very much a party hostel.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! It's displeasing to hear that you were under the impression that our reception team were less than friendly when you checked in. We pride ourselves on handpicking the right people for the position and host monthly customer service training sessions. It's unfortunate that the workmen next door got you up...

This hostel is ideal for backpackers and young travellers. There was a great atmosphere and so I found it was really easy to make friends which was great as I'm travelling alone. Rooms were spacious and actually got cleaned every day, beds (which had privacy curtains, a light, 2 USB ports and 2 plug sockets each) were always remade with...

Thanks for leaving such a awesome and extensive review, its great to see that you had such a fun time, it sounds like you made the most of your stay in st kilda, we are in a great spot here, just a stones throw from the beach and to those little penguins that you got to see! they are also...

Pod beds are great, your own light, charger in your bed. Bedding was dirty, pillow case dirty, hair all over new requested bed sheet. The lockable drawers are great if there was enough room to open them fully. The room was ALWAYS left open, which I know isn't the staff members fault...so have to lock everything all the time Left...

Hi Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, we have just had our outstanding order of new bedding arrive. guess who got to fold 200 brand new sheets and pillow cases.... This hostel is SO good. I've stayed in over 50 hostels around Asia and Australia since I've been away and this one is honestly the best I've been in so far. The beds are comfy! They're built properly so you don't get woken up every time the person in the bunk above you moves. Each bed has an individual curtain...

Thanks for taking the time to leave such an awesome review!!! It really helps us to know what we are getting right. The beds are really good, we have had heaps of our guests saying the same thing. The pub crawl really is the thing to do on a friday night

Take my advice do not stay in this hostel, it is a disgrace. The place is so dirty. The minute you enter the hostel it looks old and filthy. The rooms and bathrooms are worse. There was a smell of vomit in my room and a vomit stain. We booked a private room hoping they would be a bit nicer....

I stayed here in a private room with my partner with a shared bathroom. Paid over 500 dollars for 6 nights, a good deal we thought judging by the new pictures online showing the 'renovations'. I honestly regretted my decision from the moment I walked into the reception. The floors were filthy and there was a horrible smell. Our room...

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It's reviews like this that help us improve our service! Since your review we have fixed the hole in the window (which we are quite upset we missed on our daily property inspections) increased the frequency of our bathroom cleaners from 3 times a day to 4 times, ordered a brand...

The beds are cool with the curtains and the 'pod' effect but that's about it.. clearly the beds have been renovated but the rest of the hostel is very far behind! Terrible bathrooms and toilets, even worse plumbing in the showers and the kitchen is gross! The communal areas are pretty cool, great balcony and kitchen eating area but TV...

Thanks for the Great score! Stoked that you enjoyed our brand new beds! We have some older bathrooms still yet to renovated. Our new bathrooms are something else though! Brand new hot water systems, high pressure love machines! Our wifi has just been upgraded and we're undergoing a new stage of our renovations very soon. Watch this space. Thanks heaps...

I stayed in this hostel for 3 days over the weekend. Easily the worst hostel I've been in. I'll start with the Pros: Good wifi downstairs. Location is around the corner from good restaurants, and 10 minutes from shops and the beach. Now for the bad stuff. The weekend reminded me of a freshman frat party full of people who...
