I stayed here with my boyfriend near the start of November (7th - 18th) and we both had an amazing time. The night entertainment allowed us to mingle more easily with fellow travellers (some who we shall be meeting up with again) in similar situations to us. I strongly recommend going and seeing the cute little penguins on Monday nights!...

My 14-year-old daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights. We booked a twin share room with private bathroom. Our room was on level 3 and nice and quiet. It was clean, modern and totally exceeded expectations. Everything about our stay here was fabulous - from the top location and service to the facilities, including free wifi and breakfast (the...

We found it comfortable, clean and quiet up stairs, except for traffic noise on st kilda rd. Staff were very nice. Easy walking distance from restaurants. We felt safe walking down the st. Bed was a bit soft.

Nice and clean an staff are really friendly but if anything it is overpriced for tight rooms with no ensuite it was 36 dollars a night. The toilets an showers were always nice a clean. If your a clean freak then this is the place for you. You can't drink your own alcohol here also which is a bit of...

2 levels above your avarage Backpackers hostel, Habitat is an Eco-certified, traveler friendly and professional accomodation. The smiling staff (at the front desk 24-7) can provide advice and book attractions for you. Located relatively conveniently, a Tram station in front of the entrance, and a walking/tram distance from everything in St. Kilda. Try the nearby Vegalicious restaurant - our personal...

I got upgraded which is always nice, the room was a little grubby and smelly. Bathroom was clean and big with hot water. Nice place to stay short term, they always have something different on every night which keeps you occupied. Some staff were friendly, other a bit 50/50

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am pleased to read you got and appreciated an upgrade. I apologize for you feeling your room was not as clean as it should have been, this is not our usual guest experience and does not meet my expectations. I have passed this feedback onto our housekeeping team. I...

Not a bad hostel. As far facilities are concerned it's pretty much what you'd expect: Small TV room, kitchen and there's a smoking area. The communal area is a few rows of tables in the foyer area. They make it out to be a lot more 'fun' a hostel than it actual is, with the main attraction seemingly being that...

Hi JG! I appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. Its disappointing to read your impression of our guests. Our fabulous guests are what make HabitatHQ great. We never compare ourselves to other Hostels, particularly the large chain Hostels that you refer to. We are a hard working Independent Hostel, wanting to offer our guests a unique travel...

The room was satisfactory. Good matress and pilow, clean and quiet. The hostel has a good environment to entertain the guests and provide us with free dining events. It's perfect for low budget travelers. The location is near the city by tram and near St Kilda's beach with some nice spots around. The staff is not too friendly but the...

The staff were awesome and friendly, and they really helped us out... We arrived to a room of 4 girls who had claimed the entire room and bathroom with their mess. On top of that they were sick and up coughing the entire night! We were grateful that the staff were understanding and moved us to another room. Things were...
